1 pound bulk Italian sausage
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons chopped sweet red pepper
2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
2 cups water
1 cup chili sauce
1 can (5 ounces) evaporated milk
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook the sausage, onion and peppers over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain., Add macaroni and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 7-8 minutes or until macaroni is tender. Stir in chili sauce and milk; heat through., Remove from the heat. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

1/2 pound smoked kielbasa or Polish sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 tablespoon butter
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned; remove and keep warm., In the same skillet, saute the onion, celery and green pepper in butter until tender. 1/2 pound bulk pork sausage
1/4 cup chopped green pepper

4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, divided

Steps:

1 teaspoon butter
1 teaspoon olive oil
3 cups elbow macaroni
1 pound smoked beef sausage, cut into bite-size pieces
2 (14.5 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes, chopped, juices reserved
1 sweet onion, diced small
2 ounces shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
2 ounces shredded Monterey Jack cheese
2 teaspoons olive oil, or more to taste
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
¼ teaspoon onion powder, or more to taste
¼ teaspoon garlic powder, or more to taste
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 (8 ounce) package shredded American cheese (such as Kraft® Melts)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Butter a 9x13-inch baking dish and oil with 1 teaspoon olive oil.
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until cooked through but firm to the bite, 8 minutes. Drain.
  • Stir sausage, tomatoes and reserved juice, onion, Cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, 2 teaspoons olive oil, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and ground black pepper together in a large bowl.
