1 (20 ounce) can sliced peaches in juice
1/3 cup sugar
2 cups low-fat vanilla yogurt or 2 cups non-fat vanilla yogurt

Steps:

  • Drain peaches reserving 1/2 cup of the juice (for me, it turned out to be all of the left over juice).
  • Put peaches in a blender and pulse to chop.
  • Add the sugar, yogurt, and juice and blend until smooth.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for a half hour to an hour (depends on how patient you are - I did a half hour and it was fine).
  • Pour into ice cream maker and churn for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • ENJOY!

This is as close to nonfat as chocolate frozen yogurt can get. If you're on Weight Watchers (or any other weight-management program) and you're dying for chocolate, this is a reasonable choice. And it's yummy!

1 quart nonfat yogurt (plain, nonfat, Greek strained yogurt makes it really rich)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened Dutch-processed cocoa powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • In bowl or food processor, combine all ingredients until sugar dissolves.
  • Note: You can start with less sugar, and then just add sugar to taste until it's as sweet as you want it to be.
  • Refrigerate until very cold -- at least four hours, or up to two days.
  • Transfer to ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's directions.

2 cups fresh or frozen unsweetened sliced peaches, thawed
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups vanilla yogurt

Steps:

  • Place the peaches in a blender; cover and process until pureed. Set aside. , In a small saucepan, sprinkle gelatin over cold water; let stand for 1 minute. Stir in sugar. Cook and stir over low heat until gelatin and sugar are dissolved., In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, peach puree and gelatin mixture until blended. Pour into an ungreased 9-in. square dish. Cover and freeze for 3-4 hours or until partially set. , Cut into pieces and place in a large bowl; beat on medium speed until smooth. Transfer to a freezer container. Cover and freeze until firm, about 2 hours.

  • Cut three of the peeled, pitted peaches into large chunks and place them in the bowl of a food processor with 3/4 cup sugar. Pulse until completely smooth. Add Greek yogurt and vanilla. Pulse again until well combined. Transfer the yogurt mixture to an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's directions.
  • Meanwhile, dice the remaining peach and add to yogurt as it's processing, about 5 minutes before the end of the recommended freezing time. Serve immediately or transfer to an airtight freezer-safe container and freeze.
