CRISPY CHILI LIME BAKED CHICKEN WINGS



Crispy Chili Lime Baked Chicken Wings image

Baked Crispy Chicken Wings with a sticky sweet 'n spicy chili lime sauce that you'll swoon over. These chicken wings are the perfect appetizer for your next game day party!

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 lbs. chicken wings (I do 1lb. drumettes and 1lb. wingettes)
2 tablespoons grape seed oil
salt & pepper to season
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 cup honey
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 teaspoon sriracha sauce
1 teaspoon lime zest
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
1/4 teaspoon ancho chili powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Add chicken to a large bowl. Pat chicken dry.
  • Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of grape seed oil. Season with sea salt and black pepper. Gently toss to coat all the chicken.
  • Place chicken on a wire rack lined baking sheet. (if you don't have a wire rack, use parchment paper)
  • Bake for 40 minutes, flipping the chicken after 20 minutes.
  • Turn the Broiler on to HIGH.
  • Place chicken under broiler for 8-10 minutes, until browned.
  • In the meantime, to a small saucepan, add butter. Once melted add in honey, lime juice, sriracha sauce, lime zest, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chipotle chili powder and ancho chili powder. Whisk together to combine. Let simmer for 4-5 minutes.
  • Once chicken is done add to a large bowl. Pour chili lime sauce over the top and toss to coat all the wings with the sauce.
  • Garnish with lime zest.

3 pounds chicken wings, split at the joint, tips removed
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1 teaspoon grated lime zest
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup tequila
1 tablespoon agave syrup (sometimes called agave nectar)
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon adobo sauce
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
Chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Steps:

  • Prepare the wings: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Season the wings with salt and pepper and arrange on a baking sheet in a single layer. Cook until just brown and crisp, about 45 minutes.
  • Make the sauce: Combine the lime zest and juice, tequila, agave syrup, cumin, adobo sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 tablespoon pepper in a bowl. Pour over the warm wings and let marinate at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat a grill to high. Grill the wings until marked, 10 to 15 minutes, turning as needed. Transfer the marinade to a saucepan and cook until slightly thick, about 8 minutes (you can do this on the grill as well). Drizzle the wings with the sauce and top with cilantro, if desired.

¼ cup honey
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon grated lime zest
1 clove garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ cup all-purpose flour
2 quarts vegetable oil for frying

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix together the honey, lime juice, lime peel, garlic, salt and ground black pepper.
  • Place the flour in a plastic bag and shake the chicken wings in the flour to coat.
  • In a large skillet, fry the chicken wings in hot, 1 inch deep oil until cooked through. Place the cooked wings in the honey/lime mixture and toss to coat well. Serve immediately.

4 pounds chicken wings and drumettes
4 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
3 tbsp chili garlic sauce
2 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp lime zest (1 reg lime)
2 tbsp fresh lime juice (1 reg lime)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450. Line large baking sheet with foil and place wire rack on top. Set aside.
  • Dry chicken wings and drumettes with paper towels. Get the chicken as dry as possible.
  • Add baking powder, salt and pepper to a large bowl, mix together. Add the chicken and coat the chicken in the baking powder mixture.
  • Lay the chicken on the baking sheet on top of the wire rack, make sure the chicken is not touching.
  • Bake chicken for 20 minutes. Flip the chicken over using tongs or forks and bake again for 15 more minutes.
  • While the chicken is baking, prepare the sauce. Combine the chili garlic sauce, honey, melted butter, and lime juice and zest in a small bowl. Stir together. If the butter won't mix, heat the sauce in microwave or in a saucepan briefly just until combined.
  • After the chicken has baked, remove from the oven, brush with the sauce.
  • Cook the chicken for an additional 15 minutes with the sauce on. Remove from the oven and serve.

1 cup(s) heavy cream
3/4 cup(s) half and half
1 package(s) (8 ounces) cream cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.Add tater tots and crumbled blue cheese;mix well.Drizzle with 1/2 cup tiger sauce.
  • Heat avocado oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.Add boneless chicken wings,season with garlic pepper,saute for 5 minutes or until are tender.
  • Stir in 2 tablespoons lime juice and 1/2 cup tiger sauce,continue saute for 3 minutes.Remove from heat.Cool completely.
  • In a medium bowl,combine heavy cream,half and half,cream cheese,wing sauce,crushed red pepper flakes,remaining lime juice,parmesan cheese and remaining tiger sauce;whisk together until blended.
  • Pour into chicken wings mixture in the saucepan.Reduce to low heat.Stir and simmer for 6 minutes.Remove from heat.
  • Pour into a prepared baking dish.Sprinkle with shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until the casserole is set and cheese is melted.

1 (8 ounce) bottle tiger sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon garlic
1 medium onion, chopped
1 teaspoon hot sauce
2 lbs chicken wings

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients into a gallon ziploc bag except the onion. With the onion you need to saute until tender then add to the bag. Let it set overnight. Bake for 40 minute in a 375 degree oven preheated about 10min. Every 5-10min. spoon liquid onto wings. Enjoy!
