Li Hing Margarita Recipes
FROZEN APPLE PIE MARGARITA
Steps:
- Combine the sugar, salt and 1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice on a small plate. Pour 2 tablespoons apple cider on a second small plate. Dip the rims of two rocks glasses in the cider, then dip in the sugar mixture. Set aside.
- Combine the ice, tequila, cinnamon schnapps, vanilla extract, lemon juice, remaining 1 1/2 cups apple cider and remaining 1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice in a blender. Blend until frothy. Pour into the prepared glasses and garnish each with an apple slice, whipped cream and a cinnamon stick. Serve immediately.
SAM CHOY'S LI HING MUI MARGARITA
I couldn't find any recipes on here that included Li Hing Mui powder, so I'm going to add what I can..There is 1 tsp of Li Hing Mui that is included, but would not be accepted in the ingredient list. Also, the sweet and sour is meant to be the mix that is typically used with mixed drinks.

Steps:
- Blend liquors and ice (shake, or place in blender for a frozen margarita).
- Moisten the rim of the glass and dip in li hing mui powder.
- Pour blended margarita into glass and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon li hing mui powder.
- Garnish with a slice of lime.
- Serves 1.
- For a virgin margarita: Leave out tequila and double the amounts of sweet-and-sour mix and simple syrup.

- In a small bowl or ramekin, mix together the sugar and li hing mui powder for the rim. Once mixed, pour onto a small round plate in a circle the size of the rim of your glass.
- Take the lime wedge and run it along the rim of whatever glass you are using, then dip the rim in the sugar-li hing powder mixture. Add ice to fill the glass and set aside.
- In a cocktail shaker halfway filled with ice, add the tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, mango juice and li hing mui powder. Seal tightly and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, then strain into your prepared glass.
- Slide the lime wheel and mango slice onto the cocktail pick and use it to garnish your drink, then enjoy!
