BAKED PORK CHOPS & APPLE GRAVY
This is a wonderful and very comforting entree with meat and fruit so you don't have to feel too guilty. I marinate the chops in teriyaki sauce, honey, guldens mustard, black pepper and garlic for at least 3 hours or overnight.

Steps:
- 1.Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 2.Add pork chops to skillet and brown over medium heat.
- 3.Season with salt and pepper.
- 4.Place pork chops in large ceramic casserole dish.
- 5.Add flour, salt, pepper, catsup, chicken stock, brown sugar, balsamic vinegar and applesauce to skillet with pork juices.
- 6.Stir until thickened and smooth.
- 7.Place sliced onions and apples on pork chops.
- 8.Pour applesauce mixture over pork chops.
- 9.Bake 45 minutes or until done.

I found this in a pamphlet from the orchard (about Maryland apple orchards) a few years ago when we were picking apples. It is one of the tastiest things I have ever made!

Steps:
- Peel, core, and slice the apples.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt the butter in a skillet.
- Brown the pork chops on both sides in the butter.
- Grease (or spray) a large baking dish.
- Put the apple slices in the bottom of the dish.
- Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar over the apples.
- Place the pork chops on top of the apples.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 and 1/2 hours.

STOVETOP PORK CHOPS WITH APPLE CIDER GRAVY
You only need one pan, 5 ingredients and about 30 minutes for these Stovetop Pork Chops with Apple Cider Gravy!

- Season pork chops liberally with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat about 2 teaspoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 1-2 minutes. Swirl to coat the pan. Add garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for about 1 minute.
- Add chops to the skillet and cook for 7-9 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. The chops are done when they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F. Remove chops to a plate and set aside.
- Reduce heat to low, and pour cider into the same pan. Let the cider simmer for about 1 minute, scraping the bits from the bottom of the pan as you stir. Add mustard and stir in cream.
- Cook sauce for about 3 more minutes, stirring frequently, until thickened slightly. Spoon over chops and garnish with fresh rosemary, if desired.

- Sprinkle pork chops with salt. In a large skillet, brown chops in oil; set aside. Place apples and raisins in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Combine 2 tablespoons brown sugar, cinnamon and cloves; sprinkle over apples. Drizzle with lemon juice. - 1. Set oven to preheat to 425 degrees. In hot skillet, brown pork chops well on both sides (lightly spray skillet with cooking spray or use non-stick coated skillet. Don't use fat or oil). Place pork chops in a 3 qt. baking dish.
- 2. In same skillet, saute garlic in pan drippings. Add flour, salt, pepper; Mix well. Add water; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Add applesauce, lemon juice; mix. Pour over pork chops.
- 3. Bake 1 1/2 hours or until tender--baste occasionally.

Steps:
- Heat oil in skillet and brown chops at least 2 minutes per side.
- You want a brown crust to form on the meat.
- Layer chops in a casserole dish, they can overlap.
- Now, add the flour, salt, pepper and garlic salt to the remaining fat in the pan.
- Stir to mix well.
- Add the boiling water and blend thoroughly.
- Cook 3 to 5 minutes until it thickens.
- Add applesauce and lemon juice, mix well and pour this entire mixture over the chops in the casserole.
- Bake 1 1/2 hrs at 400 degrees.
- Check for doneness, depending on the size of the chops you may need to cook an additional 15 minutes.
