Spaghetti Seasoning Mix. Just boil the pasta, and add the meat and sauce ingredients.

1 tablespoon instant minced onion
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
2 teaspoons green pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon instant minced garlic
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
3/4 teaspoon italian seasoning
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon basil

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and blend well. Store in a cool, dry place. Keeps 6 months. Makes about 1/3 cup of mix (1 package)
  • 2. HOW TO MAKE SPAGHETTI SAUCE: Boil your pasta and drain, don't rinse. Brown one pound of lean ground beef in a medium skillet over medium high heat. Drain excess grease. Add three 8 ounce cans of tomato sauce, one 6 ounce can of tomato paste, 2 3/4 cups of tomato juice or water, and the seasoning mix. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 tsp. dried Italian seasoning

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Reserve 1/4 cup each pasta sauce and cheese. Mix remaining ingredients just until blended.
  • Shape meat mixture into loaf in 12x8-inch baking dish; top with remaining pasta sauce and cheese.
  • Bake 40 to 45 min. or until done (160°F).

  • Add seasoning packet and crushed tomatoes to meat mixture. Add salt, pepper, and sugar. Heat on medium low until starts to boil then cover and simmer 20 minutes.
  • Cook spaghetti (add additional spaghetti depending on desired serving amount).

3/4 teaspoon italian seasoning (OR combination of oregano, basil, rosemary, thyme, sage, marjoram)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a small bowl until evenly distributed.
