What makes this air fryer fish recipe is the smoky spices that are added to the Parmesan crust mixture. We love smoked paprika but you can use a combination of chili powder, chipotle or smoked paprika if you want.To help the cheese stick more, you can dip the fish in beaten egg. The egg will add more calories. Using perforated parchment paper makes cooking fish in the air fryer a dream. If you don't have any, get some. Until then, just make sure to oil the basket or tray well before placing the fish in the air fryer.

2 tilapia filets (, or other white fish (about 4-6 ounces for each filet))
1 Tablespoon olive oil (, or oil spray)
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
kosher salt (, to taste)
black pepper (, to taste)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (, or to taste)
fresh chopped parsley (, for garnish)
lemon wedges (, for serving)

Steps:

  • Preheat the Air Fryer at 380°F/193°C for 5 minutes.Place the parmesan in a shallow bowl & set aside.
  • Drizzle olive oil liberally over fish or spray with oil spray. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, & paprika. Press fish into the cheese mixture and coat both sides of the fish filets. If you want the cheese to stick more you can dip the fish in beaten egg before pressing into the cheese. The egg will add more calories.
  • Line air fryer basket or tray with perforated parchment paper. Lightly spray parchment paper with oil spray. Lay coated fish on the parchment. Lightly spray the top of the fish filets with oil spray.
  • Air Fry at 380°F/193°C for about 6-12 minutes, or until the fish can be flaked with a fork. Cooking times will vary depending on the thickness of the fish and the style of your air fryer.Top with chopped parsley, serve with lemon wedges.

This deliciously easy Keto Breaded Fish has a crispy outside and tender, flaky inside. It's perfect for a light dinner or lunch.

1 Egg
½ cup Almond Flour
1 ounce Parmesan Cheese (finely grated)
1 tablespoon Dried Parsley
1 Lemon (zest only)
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper (ground)
4 fillets White Fish (150g/5.3oz pieces)
Oil (for frying)

Steps:

  • Heat your deep fryer to 180C/355F.
  • Crack the egg into a bowl and whisk well.
  • In another bowl, add the almond flour, parmesan, parsley, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Dip the fish into the egg, then press into the breading. Repeat with the other pieces of fish. (For a thicker crust, dip the breaded fish into the egg and breading a second time).
  • Gently add the fish to the hot oil. Cook for 4-7 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Drain off the excess oil.
  • Serve with Keto Coleslaw, lemon wedges, and Keto Tartar Sauce.

The coconut aminos overcome the natural fishiness of cod, making it taste sweeter like orange roughy. Once you have made keto bread crumbs, this is actually a very quick recipe to make.

4 (6 ounce) fresh cod fillets
¼ cup coconut aminos
½ cup shredded Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
1/2 cup garlic keto bread crumbs
⅓ cup unsweetened coconut flakes
1 tablespoon granular sucralose sweetener (such as Splenda®)
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground dried chipotle pepper
3 large egg yolks
3 tablespoons heavy cream
2 tablespoons coconut aminos

Steps:

  • Marinate cod in 1/4 cup coconut aminos in a glass or ceramic bowl for 8 hours.
  • Combine Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, bread crumbs, coconut flakes, sweetener, salt, and chipotle pepper together in the bowl of a food processor; blend into a moderately fine powder.
  • Mix egg yolks, cream, and remaining 2 tablespoons coconut aminos together in another bowl for egg wash.
  • Dredge fish fillets in the egg wash then cover completely in the bread crumb mixture until thickly coated.
  • Air-fry at 360 degrees F (182 degrees C) until fish flakes easily with a fork, 7 to 8 minutes.

Add the ground almonds, a heaped teaspoon of lemon zest, a heaped teaspoon of dried dill, salt and pepper to a bowl. Mix well to combine. You may add more salt and pepper as needed.
