1 teaspoon ginger
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 garlic cloves, crushed

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients and pour over steak.
  • Cook on low 4 to 6 hours in crock pot.
  • Serve over rice.

2 lbs beef flank steaks
1 cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons garlic, crushed
hot cooked rice (optional) or noodles (optional)

Steps:

  • Slice steak into 1/8-inch slices.
  • Combine remaining ingredients in crock pot and stir to combine.
  • Place meat in crock pot and stir to incorporate.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
  • Serve over rice or noodles, if desired.

This teriyaki steak recipe is made with round steak and ginger, sugar, and soy sauce and garlic as seasonings. A little cornstarch thickens the sauce.

2 pounds boneless beef round steak
1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1/3 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons rice wine or dry sherry (may substitute apple juice or broth)
1 large clove garlic (crushed and minced)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
Garnish: green onions
Garnish: sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Cut the round steak into serving-size pieces and pound to 1/8 inch in thickness.
  • Combine the ginger, brown sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, wine, and garlic in a small bowl. Reserve.
  • Place the beef in the slow cooker or crockpot and pour the sauce over it. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hours.
  • Make a slurry combining the cornstarch with the water. Pour it into the slow cooker, mix well and increase the heat to HIGH. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  • Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and green onions, and serve with your favorite sides.
  • Enjoy!

1 lb flank steak
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 cup pineapple chunks in juice, drained (save juice)
1/4 cup pineapple juice, reserved
1 teaspoon gingerroot, grated
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon oil
2 garlic cloves, crushed
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Cut meat into 1/8-inch slices and place in a slow cooker.
  • In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, reserved pineapple juice, gingerroot, sugar oil and garlic.
  • Pour sauce mixture over meat. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 7 hours.
  • Turn control to HIGH. Stir in pineapple. Combine cornstarch and water in a small bowl; add to cooker.
  • Cook, stirring, until slightly thickened.

2 lbs beef flank steak
6 slices canned pineapple (reserve 1/2 cup juice)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon dry sherry
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 cup long grain rice

Steps:

  • Roll flank steak, tie and cut into 6 individual steaks.
  • In a shallow bowl, stir together pineapple juice, soy sauce, ginger, sherry, sugar and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Marinate steaks about 1 hour at room temperature.
  • Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water; combine with rice and 1/2 cup of the soy mixture in crock pot.
  • Top each steak with a pineapple ring, then place in crock pot.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
