Even though tailgating might be very different this year, we all still need some tasty food to go with the game! Make a delicious dipping sauce for chicken wings (or three!) with just a few ingredients in no time to up your snacking game!

1/2 cup cilantro
2 cloves garlic
3/4 cup plain yogurt
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp water
salt and pepper (to taste)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cloves garlic
1/3 cup parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
2 tbsp parsley
2 tbsp white vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup yogurt
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp lime juice
2 cloves garlic
salt (to taste)

Steps:

  • Chop cilnatro finely and set aside. Mince garlic or grate it and add it to the cilantro.
  • In a bowl, mix yogurt with olive oil, lemon juice and water. Add in cilantro and minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix mayonnaise and sour cream in a bowl and set aside. Mince garlic finely and add it to the mayonnaise with grated parmesan.
  • Add chopped parsley and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper to your taste.
  • Mix mayonnaise and yogurt in a bowl. Add in smoked paprika and lime juice.
  • Mince the garlic cloves and add to the mayonnaise and yogurt mixture. Season with salt and serve.

1 cup hot sauce
1/2 cup molasses
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 tablespoon kosher salt
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
3/4 cup olive oil, plus extra for oiling the grill
3 pounds whole chicken wings
1/2 cup thinly-sliced scallions (cut on a bias), optional
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat a grill or grill pan at medium-high heat.
  • For the hot sauce: Mix together the hot sauce, molasses and butter in a small pot. Heat until combined, then set aside.
  • For the wings: Whisk together the brown sugar, salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika and pepper in a bowl. Whisk the oil into the dry mixture, creating a loose rub. Set a quarter of the mixture aside to use for brushing.
  • Slather the wings with the rub. Brush the grill grates with a little olive oil, then add the wings to the grill. Cook, covered, for about 10 minutes, then baste with the reserved rub mixture. Flip and baste with any remaining rub and cook for another 15 minutes. Remove the wings from the grill and toss with the hot sauce in a large bowl. Transfer to a platter and sprinkle with the scallions and parsley, if using.

Found this on a package of chicken wings. Haven't tried it yet, but it sounded really tasty! NOTE: It also called for one large banana, but IMO that sounded disgusting so I omitted it...I'll leave that up to you.

1 tablespoon garlic oil
1 (4 ounce) can green chilies, chopped & drained
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup golden raisin
2 tablespoons apricot preserves
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon allspice

Steps:

  • Place everything in a blender or food processor & puree.
  • Pour into a med. saucepan & heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened -- about 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat & let cool.
  • Use as basting for wings or as a dipping sauce.

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
½ cup light soy sauce
¼ cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon ginger paste
2 teaspoons ground mustard
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Heat olive oil and sesame seeds in a small saucepan over low heat; cook and stir until seeds are slightly toasted, 3 to 5 minutes. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, and vinegar; whisk until brown sugar is dissolved, 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Mix ginger paste, ground mustard, and red pepper flakes into soy sauce mixture; whisk until sauce is smooth, 2 to 3 minutes. Bring sauce to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes more.
