So with that I say, if your willing to shell out close to $1000 for the XT model maybe consider a last years flagship bow for close to the same price. Just my thoughts though.

For me, personally, it wasn't worth the extra money to spend on the XT. I took my first and only archery deer with the normal torrex this past season as well.

Web Jul 26, 2020 The Torrex is 1" longer A to A (good thing) and has a 1" longer Brace Height (good thing) and has a standard cable slide instead of a roller guide (I prefer the old style cable slides myself). Those 3 things add up to a bow that is 9 fps slower than the XT. Both draw and shoot smooth both are plenty fast. Personally I prefer the Standard Torrex.

The former having sliders and the XT having a roller. The XT felt smoother to me and didn’t pull me out of the let-off area whereas the torrex did a few times.
