Number Of Ingredients 7

3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons hot pepper sauce
1 tablespoon oil (I used olive oil)
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Mix ingredients together.
  • Prep meat.
  • (I stab mine repeatedly with a fork.) Put meat and marinade in bag and let sit.
  • Longer the better.
  • (Well, not too long. Overnight should do.) Cook however.

1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup chili sauce
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons chili paste (more or less depending on taste)
1 teaspoon hot pepper flakes (more or less depending on taste)
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 garlic, minced
1/2 onion, minced

Steps:

  • Combine the ingredients for the marinade in a zip lock bag. Add the meat and marinate.

I basically took the recipe from the book that came with my dehydrator, and replaced worcestershire sauce and tomato sauce with Sriracha hot sauce (available at most supermarkets in the asian foods section). The flavor is to die for.

1 lb beef round steak
4 tablespoons soy sauce
5 tablespoons sriracha hot sauce
1 tablespoon grated gingerroot (optional)
2 cloves garlic
1/2-1 teaspoon curing spices (Salt & Sodium Nitrite)

Steps:

  • Cut meat into 1/4" to 3/8" thick strips.
  • Mix marinade and put in a zippered plastic bag with meat.
  • Allow meat to marinate for at least 6 hours.
  • Dehydrate meat according to dehyrator instructions.
