HOT CARAMEL APPLE CIDER
Warm up a cold day with a mug of hot apple cider topped with a hint of caramel.

Steps:
- Heat 1/4 cup cream and 1/4 cup brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until mixture starts to boil. Raise heat to medium-high and stir in apple cider and water. Cook until mixture starts to simmer, about 4 minutes.
- Beat 1/2 cup cream and 1 tablespoon brown sugar together in a bowl until soft peaks form. Lift your beater or whisk straight up: the whipping cream will form soft mounds rather than a sharp peak.
- Pour cider into mugs and top with caramel whipped cream.

Steps:
- Bring apple juice to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of cinnamon syrup to the bottom of a 12 ounce mug. Add boiled apple juice. Top with whipped cream, pour caramel syrup generously; let caramel run into juice. Add more whipped cream and caramel, if desired. Sprinkle with nutmeg and cinnamon.
- Cinnamon Syrup: Mix all but butter. Boil until thickened. Add butter.

I had this at a Starbucks earlier this year; after fooling around with ingredients, this is the clone. A wonderful drink to curl up with on a chilly night; great for a bonfire or a holiday gathering as well.

- Bring 8 or 9oz of apple juice to a boil.
- Add 1 Tbsp of cinnamon syrup to the bottom of a 12 oz mug.
- Add boiled apple juice.
- Top with whipped cream, pour caramel syrup generously; let caramel run into juice.
- Add more whipped cream and caramel, if desired.
