Everything Mac & Cheese image

What could possibly make homemade mac and cheese any better? Everything Bagel Seasoning! Mixed into the cheese sauce and sprinkled on top with crunchy onions, this dish is the ultimate in comfort food.

1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
3 cups milk
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
2 cups shredded smoked Gouda cheese
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
5 tbsps everything bagel all purpose seasoning
1 package (16 oz) small shell pasta cooked
1 cup original crispy fried onions

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Melt butter in large saucepan on medium heat. Sprinkle with flour. Cook and stir 2 minutes.
  • Slowly add milk, whisking constantly. Bring to a boil. Cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. When mixture is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, stir in cream cheese, smoked Gouda, Cheddar cheese, and 4 tablespoons of the Seasoning. Simmer, stirring consistently, until cheese is completely melted.
  • Add cooked pasta to cheese sauce and stir gently to mix. Transfer mixture to 13x9-inch baking dish. Bake until golden brown and bubbly, about 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, mix Crispy Fried Onions and remaining 1 tablespoon Seasoning in a small bowl. Remove mac & cheese from oven; sprinkle with seasoned onions. Bake 5 minutes longer, just until onions begin to brown.

8 ounces process cheese (Velveeta), melted
2 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese, divided
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided

Steps:

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, butter, mustard, seasoned salt and pepper until combined. Stir in the process cheese and 1-1/2 cups of each cheddar cheese. , Drain macaroni; stir into cheese mixture. Pour into a greased 3-qt. baking dish. Top with remaining cheeses. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is melted and edges are bubbly.

1/4 cup butter, cubed
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 cups 2% milk
5 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon paprika

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cook macaroni according to package directions for al dente., Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, heat butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt and pepper until smooth; gradually whisk in milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; cook and stir until thickened, 2-3 minutes., Reduce heat. Stir in 3 cups cheese and Worcestershire sauce until cheese is melted. , Drain macaroni; stir into sauce. Transfer to a greased 10-in. ovenproof skillet. Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes. Top with remaining cheese; sprinkle with paprika. Bake until bubbly and cheese is melted, 5-10 minutes.

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. Place in a 1-1/2-qt. casserole and set aside. , Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and seasonings; gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove pan from heat; add the sour cream, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese and Havarti cheese. I know there are several Mac & Cheese recipes already on here, and I figured one more wouldn't hurt. :) Cook time for pasta isn't including in prep or cook time. As with all my recipes, please feel free to adjust the seasonings according to you and your families tastes.

1 1/4 cups elbow macaroni
3 tablespoons margarine or 3 tablespoons butter
1/8 th. cup finely chopped sweet onion, can use same amount of green onion if desired
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/2-2 cups milk
1 teaspoon ground mustard, can use prepared mustard instead
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt, add more if desired
1/2 teaspoon pepper, add more if desired
6 ounces shredded colby-monterey jack cheese, divided

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions and set aside.
  • Over medium heat, in a medium size saucepan melt margarine and add onions.
  • Cook onions until softened.
  • Add flour and cook until lightly browned.
  • Turn heat to low and add milk a little at a time, stir until desired thickness is reached. ( You might need a little more milk, it all depends on how thick you want it. ).
  • Remove sauce from heat and add 4 1/2 ounces of cheese, a little at a time or it might turn out " STRINGY ".
  • Add seasonings to sauce and mix well.
  • Add cooked pasta to seasoned sauce and stir until pasta is well coated.
  • Pour pasta/sauce into an 11 x 7 inch pan that has been prepared with cooking spray.
  • Sprinkle with remaining cheese, and sprinkle additional paprika if desired.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until top is golden brown.

¼ cup butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
4 slices canned jalapeno peppers, chopped
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
salt to taste
3 dashes hot sauce, or to taste
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, 8 to 10 minutes. Drain.
  • Melt 1/4 cup butter in a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat. Stir flour into melted butter and cook until smooth and bubbling, about 1 minute. Mix milk, cream cheese, jalapeno peppers, Dijon mustard, black pepper, and salt into flour-butter mixture; cook, stirring occasionally, until sauce is thickened, about 5 minutes. Mix macaroni and Cheddar cheese into sauce; pour into a 2-quart casserole dish.
  • Mix bread crumbs, 2 tablespoons butter, and parsley together in a bowl; spread over macaroni and cheese.
