1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 cup warm water
1 1/2 cups flour
1/8 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 lb ground pork sausage
3 large eggs
1 1/4 cups half-and-half cream
2 teaspoons Hidden Valley Original Ranch Seasoning Mix
1 1/2 teaspoons dried chives
1 teaspoon butter
1 large red potatoes
1 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Dressing
1 1/2 teaspoons seasoning salt
8 ounces pizza cheese

Steps:

  • 1.Combine yeast, honey, and warm water and let rest 5 minutes. Meanwhile, mix together flour, oil, and salt in a large bowl.
  • 2. Add water mixture into flour mix and mix together. Knead dough for 5 minutes until smooth. Place under damp cloth and let rise for 1 hour. Heat a pizza stone in oven at 475 degrees.
  • 3. Cook pork sausage over medium-high heat until done. Remove from stove and let drain on a paper towel.
  • 4. Melt butter in a frying pan. Beat eggs, half & half, and Hidden Valley Original Ranch Seasoning Mix, and chives together. Pour into butter coated pan and scramble.
  • 5. Dice potato into 1/4 inch sized cubes. Coat with 1/8 cup Hidden Valley Original Ranch Dressing and fry in vegetable oil for 3-5 minutes, or until a light golden brown. Season with salt.
  • 6. Roll out dough into a 12" circle. Place on pizza peel. Spread remaining Hidden Valley Original Ranch Dressing in place of pizza sauce. Spread cooked sausage, scrambled eggs, and potatoes evenly over dough. Sprinkle cheese over the top.
  • 7. Carefully slide prepared pizza off of the pizza peel onto the heated baking stone and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • 8. Remove from oven, cut, and serve. Enjoy.

Ready, Set, Cook! Hidden Valley Contest Entry. This is a recipe that I threw together as a quick appetizer. I tweaked my original recipe and improvised with what I had on hand. This Vegetable Pizza has so much flavor with the greek yogurt and Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning mix, everyone agreed it is better and received great raves. Great Make A-head recipe. Can be made as an appetizer or main dish.

2 (13 7/8 ounce) cans refrigerated ready-made pizza dough
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1 (1 ounce) package Hidden Valley Original Ranch Seasoning Mix
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup chives, finely chopped, divided
1 cup broccoli, finely chopped
1 cup cauliflower, finely chopped
1 cup baby carrots, finely chopped
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Lightly grease 17x11 rectangular cookie sheet or a 16-ounce pizza pan. Press pizza dough into pan to form a crust.Bake as directed on package until crust is done and just slightly browned on top.(about 10 min) Remove the crust from the oven and let it cool.
  • Combine the cream cheese, yogurt, Ranch dressing, salt and garlic powder. Add 1/2 cup chopped Chives and mix.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust, then top with the chopped vegetables. Cover the pizza with saran wrap and gently press down all the vegetables.(this prevents the vegetables from falling off the pizza when sliced) Place in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to chill.
  • Top with cheddar cheese. Cut into wedges and serve. Keeps well in the refrigerator for several days.

16 ounces fresh pizza dough
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 1/4 lbs ground pork
3 tablespoons shallots, chopped
1 ounce Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Dressing and Seasoning Mix
1 1/2 cups alfredo sauce
1 lemon zest
10 ounces frozen spinach, thawed and drained
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1 medium tomatoes, chopped
2 tablespoons chives, chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven at 400 degrees.
  • On medium high heat in a non-stick cooking pan add oil, shallots, ground pork and hidden valley seasoning mix cook ground pork until it is no longer pink drain on paper towel any excess fat.
  • Spray pizza pan with cooking spray flour hands and stretch dough to fit your pizza pan. Spread Alfredo sauce on pizza dough top with lemon zest spread on pizza dough.
  • Continue to layer pizza with spinach, mozzarella, and cooked ground pork mixture and parmesan cheese. Bake in oven for 25 minutes. Pat dry tomatoes to soak up any excess juice and top pizza with tomatoes and fresh chives.

½ quantity pizza dough (see Basic pizza dough recipe in 'goes well with', right), divided into 2 balls
1 small fennel bulb , cored and thinly sliced
10 large raw peeled prawns
zest 1 lemon
1 tsp chilli flakes
2 tbsp olive oil
100g firm mozzarella , cut into 2cm cubes
100g pecorino , coarsely grated
10 cherry tomatoes , halved if large
1 heaped tsp tiny capers
2 handfuls shredded radicchio

Steps:

  • Prepare the dough following the instructions in Basic pizza dough recipe in 'goes well with', right.
  • In a shallow bowl, mix the fennel, prawns, lemon zest, chilli flakes and oil. Season and cook on your barbecue or griddle pan, turning once, until grill marks appear. Cook one side of the pizzas.
  • Top the cooked side of the pizzas with both cheeses, the fennel-prawn mix, cherry tomatoes and capers. Grill until the cheese is melted. Top with the radicchio and serve.
