Best strawberry cake with three layers of strawberry cake with a cream cheese frosting

STRAWBERRY PUREE
1 cup chopped, fresh strawberries*
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
16.25 oz white cake mix
1 3 oz strawberry Jello powder
1 cup sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup sour cream
3 eggs
1 cup of strawberry puree, the above recipe makes 1 cup
*You can also use frozen strawberries if you can't get fresh!

Steps:

  • Stir together the dry ingredients. Add the remaining ingredients (including the cooled puree) and mix on low speed until combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and then mix on medium-low speed for 2 minutes.
  • Pour into 2 or 3 well greased and floured pans and bake at 325°F degrees for 35-45 minutes. Checking for doneness) You can use (2) or (3) 8″ round pans Three cake pans results in thinner layers and lots of yummy frosting.
  • Allow to cool for about 10 minutes in the pans that turn out each layer onto a cooling rack.
  • When completely cool you can put them in the freezer before frosting.

1 14 ounce Angel food cake ( cut into 1-inch cubes)
1 16 ounce Cool Whip (thawed)
8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
1 cup sugar (divided)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 quart fresh strawberries (sliced)
3 tbsp cornstarch
1 3 ounce strawberry Jell-O gelatin dessert
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup water

Steps:

  • Place water, 1/2 cup of sugar, cornstarch, and jello into a small saucepan, and whisk until cornstarch is dissolved.
  • Heat over medium heat until glaze is thickened and clear.
  • Set aside to cool slightly, and stir in sliced strawberries.
  • Cut angel food cake into 1 inch pieces and toss with 2 cups of the Cool Whip. Press into 9×13 inch glass pan.
  • Beat cream cheese, 1/2 cup remaining sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in remaining Cool Whip and spread evenly over cake layer.
  • Pour cooled strawberry mixture over cream cheese layer, spreading to cover cake evenly.
  • Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours before serving.

1/2 cup butter, soften
1 cup flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup sugar
8 ounces cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1 (3 ounce) package strawberry gelatin
4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
whipped topping

Steps:

  • For crust.
  • Mix flour,Brown sugar,and chopped nuts together, cut in the butter. Pat firmly into a greased 9x13 pan.
  • Second Layer.
  • Mix sugar, cream cheese, vanilla and 2 eggs. Blend well till smooth.
  • Pour onto the crust.
  • Cook 15 minutes at 375°F.
  • Third layer.
  • On stove top in a pan, combine, jello, sugar, cornstarch, salt, and water. Cook till clear and bubbly. Take off stove cool a few minutes, add sliced fresh strawberries. Cool a few minutes more add on top of cream cheese layer. Let set up for about 30 minutes in fridge.
  • Forth layer.
  • Top with whipped cream or cool whip. Garnish with additional strawberries.

6 eggs, separated
1-1/2 cups sugar, divided
3 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons canola oil
2 tablespoons water
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups sliced fresh strawberries
2 cups whole fresh strawberries

Steps:

  • Place egg whites in a large bowl; let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. , In another bowl, beat egg yolks until slightly thickened. Gradually add 3/4 cup sugar, beating until thick and lemon-colored. Beat in the lemon juice, oil and water. Combine flour and salt; add to yolk mixture., Beat egg whites on medium speed until soft peaks form. Gradually add remaining sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating on high until stiff glossy peaks form. Fold a fourth of the egg whites into the batter, then fold in remaining whites. , Gently spoon into an ungreased 10-in. tube pan. Cut through batter with a knife to remove air pockets. Bake on the lowest oven rack at 325° for 35-40 minutes or until or until cake springs back when lightly touched. Immediately invert pan; cool completely, about 1 hour. , In a large bowl, beat cream until it begins to thicken. Add the confectioners' sugar and vanilla; beat until stiff peaks form. , Run a knife around sides and center tube of pan; remove cake. , Cut into three horizontal layers. Place one layer on a serving plate; top with some of the whipped cream and sliced strawberries. Repeat. Top with remaining cake layer; spread remaining whipped cream over top and sides of cake. Arrange remaining sliced berries on sides of cake. , Cut whole berries in half; arrange on cake top. Store in the refrigerator.
