Steps:
- Chill all ingredients before mixing.
- When cold, combine the lemon-lime soda, lime juice, sugar, cherries with their juice and lime slices in a large pitcher and stir. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Serve with a ladle, getting cherries and limes in each serving.
HOMEMADE CHERRY LIMEADE (SONIC COPYCAT)
Steps:
- Wash produce thoroughly, scrubbing the beet to remove the dirt. Remove the top end of the beet.
- Weigh out the ingredients.
- Quarter the lime (leaving skin on) and place directly into the press. If you don't have a juice press, peel the lime and juice with the rest of the ingredients.
- Grind the remaining ingredients together and press.
- Put a straw in a tall glass, fill with nugget ice and add the juice.
- Garnish with a cherry and two lime wedges (optional).

Steps:
- Pour the lime juice into a pitcher. Mix together the sugar and 1 cup water in a separate container and stir to dissolve and make a syrup. Add the sugar syrup to the lime juice and top it up with 4 cups water. Chill in the fridge for about an hour.
- To serve: Fill mason jars with ice cubes, add some limeade and top them off with a drizzle of cherry syrup and a maraschino cherry.
