HAM AND CHEESE IN PUFF PASTRY
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Place a piece of parchment paper on a sheet pan.
- Lay 1 sheet of puff pastry on a floured board and carefully roll it out to 10 by 12 inches. Place it on a sheet pan and brush the center with the mustard, leaving a 1-inch border around the edge. Place a layer first of ham and then cheese, also leaving a 1-inch border. Brush the border with the egg wash.
- Place the second sheet of puff pastry on the floured board and roll it out to 10 by 12inches. Place the second sheet on top of the filled pastry, lining up the edges. Cut the edges straight with a small, sharp knife and press together lightly. Brush the top with egg wash and cut a few slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until puffed and golden brown. Allow to cool for a few minutes and serve hot or warm.

All I can say is I love Pilsbury! There are soooo many different ways to prepare dishes like this, I've used bacon, eggs and cresent rolls as well, just formed them differently depending on my mood!

- Preheat oven to 350
- Dice the ham into tiny pieces, place on a skillet sprayed with cooking oil and fry up for about 3 minutes
- Line a cookie sheet with foil or add cooking spray
- Open the package of biscuits and split each one in half
- Line the cookie sheet with the bottom half of 8 biscuits, flatten them as much as possible to make them larger in diameter (I stretch them a bit before laying them down)
- Place 1/2 ounce of cheese on each biscuit bottom, then place 1/2 ounce of the fried ham pieces on top of the cheese
- Take the biscuit tops, stretch them out and place them on top of the ham, pinching the edges into the bottom of the biscuits to completely close the ham and cheese inside
- If desired, brush the biscuit tops with an egg wash, or I generally like to add a little melted butter with a dash of garlic powder (you can also brush the biscuit bottoms with the butter/garlic before adding the cheese if you prefer)
- Bake for 15 minutes! The serving amounts depend on what these are made for, we ate 3 per person as a dinner entree, or you can serve 1 or 2 per person for snacks and appetizers

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix together butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, and dried onion. Separate the tops from bottoms of the rolls, and place the bottom pieces into the prepared baking dish. Layer about half the ham onto the rolls. Arrange the Swiss cheese over the ham, and top with remaining ham slices in a layer. Place the tops of the rolls onto the sandwiches. Pour the mustard mixture evenly over the rolls.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the rolls are lightly browned and the cheese has melted, about 20 minutes. Slice into individual rolls through the ham and cheese layers to serve.

- Heat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Put the gammon, skin-side up, in a deep roasting tin, then pour over 1 litre water. Scatter over the peppercorns, onion, carrots and bay leaves, then cover tightly with foil and roast for 2 hrs.
- While the ham is in the oven, cook the cauliflower in a large pan of boiling salted water for 3-4 mins until just cooked, then drain well. Leave to steam-dry in the colander.
- Remove the ham from the oven, take off the foil and set aside on a large dish or board until cool enough to handle. Strain the liquid into a jug and set aside. Using a sharp knife, cut away the string and skin to leave a thin, even layer of fat. Use the tip of the knife to score the ham fat into a diamond pattern, if you like.
- To make the cheese sauce for the cauliflower, melt the butter in a shallow saucepan and stir in the flour to make a sandy paste. Slowly pour in 500ml of the reserved ham stock to make a silky sauce, then add the cream. Season with a grating of nutmeg and a grinding pepper, then taste to see if it needs more salt. Bring to a simmer and stir gently for 5 mins, then take off the heat and stir through all the cauliflower and most of the cheese. Will keep chilled for up to 24 hours.
- Heat the oven to 220C/200C fan/gas 7. Spoon the cauliflower cheese into a large roasting tin and bake for 20 mins until the sauce is bubbling and the cauliflower is tender.
- Heat the grill to medium, and nestle the ham, fat-side up, in the middle of the cauliflower cheese. To glaze, brush the ham fat with the mustard, then scatter over the sugar (don't worry if some goes on the cauliflower). Scatter over the remaining cheese (avoid getting any on the ham) and grill for 10-15 mins until the ham is glossy and browned and the cauliflower cheese is bubbling and golden. Leave to rest for 5 mins before serving.

HAM AND CHEESE YUM YUM
My kids were quite young and I was a single, working mom! Trying to come up with dinner every night after work without caving for fast food was sometimes a chore. I created this easy to make pizza/sandwich/roll up one night and my kids went wild for it. They named it - Yum Yum. LOL! And hence the Ham and Cheese Yum Yum was created! I hope your family enjoys it as much as my kids.

- Preheat oven according to pizza crust package instructions. Lay pizza dough out on pan and spread to sides.
- In small bowl, mix together mozzarella and sandwich spread. Spread mixture over pizza dough leaving about 1/2 inch from edges.
- Down the middle of dough place 1/2 ham then the cheese and then the 2nd half of ham.
- Fold the pizza dough...Fold in the ends first, then one long side half way and then the other side overlapping the first, creating a seal...Hope that makes sense...
- Flip over so the seam is on the bottom. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cut 3 slits in the top, diagonally. Bake according to package instructions.
- Enjoy...serves 5-6

- Grease the bottom of a deep 20 x 30cm baking dish with a little butter. Tear or cut the baguette into bite-size pieces, then arrange over the bottom of the dish. Tuck the ham pieces and grated cheese between the gaps. Whisk together the eggs, milk, cream and mustard and pour over the bread. Cover and chill for at least 3 hrs or preferably overnight.
- Heat oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas 4. Bake for 40-45 mins until the top is crisp and golden and the egg mixture is cooked through. If the topping browns a little too quickly, cover with foil for the remainder of the cooking time. Serve immediately.
