Salmon Steaks with Spicy Paprika Rub image

A piquant paprika rub brings bold flavor to grilled salmon steaks.

2 1/4 teaspoons Spicy Paprika Rub
4 salmon steaks (7 to 8 ounces each)

Steps:

  • Heat grill to medium. Rub Spicy Paprika Rub on both sides of salmon steaks.
  • Lightly oil grates. Place salmon on grill; cover grill, and cook until fish just flakes with a fork, about 4 minutes per side.

1 1/2 lbs salmon fillets (cut into six 4 ounce pieces, leave skin on)
1/4 cup agave nectar
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon celtic sea salt

Steps:

  • Rinse salmon, pat dry and place in an 11 x 7 baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, combine paprika, cumin and salt.
  • Drizzle agave over salmon, the sprinkle with paprika mixture.
  • Marinate for 30 minutes to 5 hours.
  • Grill salmon (skin side down) for 4-5 minutes, then turn over.
  • Grill on other side for 3 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through.

This is one of the easiest recipes in my collection that always gets compliments. The smokiness of the paprika and the sweetness of the brown sugar will make your toes curl.

1 salmon fillet
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon dried thyme
2 tablespoons olive oil

Steps:

  • Heat your grill to medium/high. Oil the grill using a paper towel or anything else on hand.
  • Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Slowly add a small amount of olive oil and stir. You will see an obvious change in color. Add more oil if the mix is still dry.
  • Add the mix to the meat side of the fillet. Lay the fillet skin side down on the grill. Cook for 5 minutes. Flip the fillet and cook for 4 minutes. Take the salmon off the grill and serve meat side up.
