Best Damn Grilled Pork Tenderloin image

Mouthwatering, tender, juicy and loaded with amazing flavor, this grilled pork tenderloin is an all-time favorite.

Provided by RecipeTeacher

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 pork tenderloins, 1.25-1-75lbs. each
1/4 cup brown sugar, light or dark
2 tbs smoked paprika
2.5 tsp kosher or course salt
2 tsp ground mustard
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tbs vegetable oil
1/2 tsp cayenne (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  • Trim pork tenderloins of any excess fat or silver skin, coat with vegetable oil and rub in entire seasoning mixture.
  • Fire up grill to medium/high heat. Make sure grates are well cleaned and oiled. Let grill get good and hot for 5 minutes with the lid closed.
  • Add pork tenderloins and grill for 5 minutes with lid closed, or until pork starts to easily release from the grill. Use tongs and give the pork a 1/4 turn and continue grilling for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip pork tenderloins and continue to grill for 2-3 minutes. Then, use tongs and place the remaining sides on the grill for about 1 minute each, just to get them a quick sear. Pork is done when internal temperature reaches 145°(F)
  • Remove pork from grill and let rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 cup ruby port
2 sprig fresh thyme
1 shallot sliced thin
2 tsp finely chopped fresh peeled ginger
Zest of 1 large orange
2 cup mixed berries (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry etc.) what ever is market fresh
Salt and pepper to taste
2 whole Pork tenderloins trimmed and silver skin remove
Salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp fresh rosemary chopped
2 Tbsp olive oil

Steps:

  • To prepare the sauce, combine the port, thyme, shallot, ginger and orange zest in a medium sized saucepan.
  • Set the pan over medium heat bring to a boil then reduce to low heat and simmer.
  • Simmer until reduced by half. Strain the liquid using a fine mesh strainer.
  • Add the berries to the hot liquid and stir to release juices in the sauce without killing the tender berries.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper and reserve sauce for later.
  • Preheat barbeque: 2 burners set to medium high (375F) (190C), and 2 other burners set to low setting (275F) (135C). Brush grill with oil to prevent sticking.
  • Season the pork with salt and pepper, sprinkle evenly with rosemary and drizzle with olive oil.
  • Place the pork tenderloins directly on the grill over the medium high heat burners.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes or until nice golden char marks are achieved.
  • Flip the tenderloin and continue to cook the pork until both sides are nicely charred. Roll tenderloin on its sides to get equal charring all over the loin and to provide more flavors.
  • Once the tenderloin is nicely charred, place the pork over low heat, close lid and cook a further 5 - 8 minutes, or until an instant read thermometer inserted in the thickest part reads (150F) (65C). Half way through cooking, turn the tenderloins.
  • Remove pork from the grill, loosely tent with foil and let rest for 15 minutes before serving.
  • Slice and serve with a spoonful of the wild berry sauce.

SPICY BLUEBERRY PORK TENDERLOIN

2 cups blueberry preserves
1/4 teaspoon chipotle powder
1/2 orange, zested and juiced
3 tablespoons whole-grain mustard, divided
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 pork tenderloin (roughly 1 1/2 pounds)

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan over high heat, combine the blueberry preserves, chipotle powder, orange zest and juice and 2 tablespoons of the mustard. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Reduce the heat and to a simmer, stirring occasionally, until berries begin to burst and at a thick sauce consistency, about 10 to 15 minutes. Pour into a serving bowl and set aside.
  • Preheat the broiler.
  • Rub the tenderloin with the remaining 1 tablespoon of the mustard and season on all sides with salt and pepper. Put the pork on a foil-lined sheet tray on a wire rack and broil approximately 5 to 6 inches from the heat source. Turn the meat about every 3 to 5 minutes, cooking until an instant-read thermometer registers 145 degrees F, about 15 to 20 minutes. Set aside on a cutting board and allow to rest about 5 minutes, tented with foil.
  • Slice the pork and transfer it to a serving platter. Serve with the blueberry sauce.

  • In a small bowl, combine the garlic, pepper, salt and cayenne; sprinkle over pork., In a large ovenproof skillet coated with cooking spray, brown pork chops. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 10-15 minutes or until a thermometer reads 160°. Remove pork and keep warm., Add remaining ingredients to the pan. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened, about 8 minutes. Serve with pork.,

1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon minced fresh gingerroot
3 garlic cloves, minced
4 teaspoons ketchup
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 pork tenderloins (about 1 pound each)
Hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first 10 ingredients. Pour half of the marinade into a bowl or shallow dish; add tenderloins and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight, turning pork occasionally. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade., Drain pork, discarding marinade. Grill, covered, over indirect medium-hot heat for 20-35 minutes or until a thermometer reads 145°, turning occasionally and basting with reserved marinade. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with rice. Freeze option: Freeze uncooked pork in a freezer container with marinade. Transfer reserved marinade to a freezer container; freeze. To use, completely thaw tenderloins and marinade in refrigerator. Grill as directed.

10 black peppercorns, roughly cracked
4 (4 ounce) pork tenderloin chops
2 teaspoons olive oil
⅓ cup frozen wild blueberries
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon white sugar
2 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons cornstarch

Steps:

  • Sprinkle salt and cracked pepper on pork. Heat oil in a heavy saucepan over medium-high heat. Add pork and cook quickly on both sides to sear, about 1 minute per side. Reduce heat to medium-low and cover the pan. Cook for about 5 minutes; turn pork over and continue cooking until no longer pink inside, 5 to 7 minutes more.
  • Meanwhile, combine blueberries, balsamic vinegar, and sugar in a small pot. Combine water and cornstarch together in a small bowl and add to the pot. Bring glaze to a boil, about 5 minutes, and stir until slightly thickened. Reduce heat and simmer until pork is finished, 5 to 7 minutes more.
  • Serve pork with accompanying glaze.
