This is a wonderful hot shrimp spread for crackers. It's quick and easy, and it goes quickly whenever it's served.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 (4.5 ounce) cans shrimp, rinsed and drained
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons minced onion
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
½ teaspoon dried dill weed
1 dash vinegar-based hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
½ teaspoon paprika

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, shrimp, mayonnaise, onion, horseradish, dill, and hot pepper sauce. Pour mixture into an 8x8 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon pepper seasoning and paprika.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 minutes; or until the mixture is bubbly.

This easy, layered shrimp spread is my mom's favorite munchie. Serve it with your favorite crackers.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup mayonnaise
3 (4 ounce) cans shrimp
1 cup cocktail sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 green bell pepper, chopped
3 green onions, chopped
1 medium tomato - peeled, seeded and chopped

Steps:

  • Mix cream cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise together. Spread the mixture onto the bottom of a 12-inch round pizza pan. Sprinkle the shrimp on top of the cream cheese mixture, and then evenly pour the seafood cocktail sauce over the shrimp. Sprinkle cheese, chopped pepper, green onions and tomatoes to finish. Refrigerate until you are ready to serve.

A former co-worker shared this recipe with me. It's easy to make but so delicious-people keep coming back for more! The spread is also good served on crackers or fresh vegetables, and it can be served for any type of party, casual or fancy.

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
Dash garlic salt
1 can (4 ounces) tiny shrimp, rinsed and drained
French bread baguette, sliced

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, ketchup, mayonnaise, onion, mustard and garlic salt. Stir in the shrimp. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve with baguette slices.

1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup green onion, finely chopped
2 teaspoons sour cream

Steps:

  • Finely chop the shrimp; place in a bowl.

NO-BRAINER SHRIMP SPREAD



No-Brainer Shrimp Spread image

A variation of the ultimate lazy appetizer recipe from the 80's, when you threw shrimp over a block of cream cheese, poured cocktail sauce over it, and served with crackers. I do it this way for a bigger group and also because it's easier to spread on crackers. Note: Many times I use 3 cans (or 1/4 lb. fresh) shrimp, so I can satisfy greedy shrimp lovers who are there. (Note: You may not need to use the whole bottle of cocktail sauce -- use your judgement adding enough to cream cheese to make it spreading consistency and adding a layer of sauce on top of the mixture.)

2 (6 ounce) cans cocktail shrimp, drained or 1/4 lb fresh cooked shrimp, diced
2 green onions, sliced thin
1 (12 ounce) bottle shrimp seafood cocktail sauce

Steps:

  • Mix together softened cream cheese, 2/3 of shrimp, sliced onions and 1/2 bottle of shrimp cocktail sauce.
  • Mix well, adding more cocktail sauce if necessary to make mixture a spreading consistency.
  • Put in a serving bowl, put a thin layer of cocktail sauce over spread to cover top, then arrange remaining shrimp over that to decorate the appetizer.
  • Chill, then serve with crackers of your choice.

My Mom Janice, made this easy shrimp spread every Christmas for as long as I can remember. While delicious as soon as it's made, I like to make it the night before to let the flavors blend. I always double this recipe because my Sister likes to take home any leftovers.

1 (4 1/2 ounce) can deveined medium shrimp, drained
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons Catalina dressing or 2 tablespoons western salad dressing
1 teaspoon grated onion
1 teaspoon grated horseradish
1 -2 tablespoon milk

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat all ingredients except milk until well combined. Add 1-2 tblsp milk depending on the consistency you like. I only add 1 tablespoon.
  • Chill overnight.
  • Serve with assorted crackers.

1/2 lb cooked shrimp, finely chopped
1 (13 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and finely chopped
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper, with dill seasoning
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Combine all ingredients and stir well to mix.
  • Place the shrimp mixture in a 1 quart shallow baking dish.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for approx.
  • 10 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  • Serve with assorted crackers.

6 tablespoons butter, softened
2 scallions, finely chopped (part of green tops included)
1 bay leaf
1/2 lb fresh shrimp, shelled and deveined
salt
fresh ground black pepper
3 tablespoons dry sherry
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons minced fresh chives

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of the butter over medium heat; add the scallions and bay leaf, and stir until soft.
  • Add the shrimp and salt and pepper to taste; stir until the shrimp are pink, about 3 minutes.
  • Add the sherry, increase the heat, and boil until almost all the liquid is evaporated.
  • Discard the bay leaf, transfer the shrimp to a cutting board and finely dice.
  • In a bowl, combine the remaining 5 tablespoons butter and the cream cheese and stir until well blended and smooth.
  • Add the shrimp, scallion mixture, lemon juice, and chives and stir until well blended.
  • Scrape the spread into a 1 1/2 cup crock and chill for at least 2 hours before serving with crackers or toast points.
