Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Combine the olive oil, garlic, cheese and seasoning in a small bowl.
- Slice the bagels very thinly (around 1/8 inch thick) using a very sharp serrated knife. Lightly oil a baking tray. Lay bagels out onto the baking tray, without overlapping. Brush the bagel pieces with the oil mixture (if needed, you can add more oil to the bowl). Sprinkle some salt and pepper over the top.
- Bake the chips in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until they turn a golden brown. Remove from the oven and leave to cool.
- Munch on them just as they are, or serve with your favorite dip.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large saute' pan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in garlic; cook and stir for 1 minute.
- Add bagel slices, and toss to coat.
- Spread on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes, or until crispy and dry.
- Check frequently to prevent burning.
- Cool.

HOMEMADE BAGEL CHIPS WITH CREAMY GARLIC AND VEGETABLE SPREAD
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- With a sharp knife, very carefully slice the bagels one at a time as thinly as possible, for 8 to 10 thin slices per bagel. Spread in 1 layer on the prepared sheets.
- Heat the oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. When oil starts to get warm, about 1 minute, remove from the heat and add the garlic and Essence. Let sit until the garlic perfumes the oil, about 10 minutes. Remove the garlic from the oil.
- With a pastry brush, lightly brush the oil on the bagel chips. Bake until golden brown. Turn and bake on the second side until just crisp, about 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool on wire racks.
- To serve, arrange the bagel chips on a platter with the creamy garlic and vegetable spread.
- Combine all ingredients thoroughly and store in an airtight jar or container.

- In a bowl, cream together the cream cheese and sour cream. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Adjust the seasoning, to taste.
- Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Bring to room temperature before serving. (The spread will keep for 3 days refrigerated.)

- Slice bagels diagonally into 1/4" thick slices.
- Coat the inside of a large bowl with garlic, and sprinkle the Italian seasoning over the garlic coating.
- Place the bagel chips in the bowl, and toss gently until the chips are coated with garlic and herbs.
- Sprinkle the cheese over the chips, and again toss gently to coat.
- Coat a baking sheet with olive oil and arrange the chips on the sheet in a single layer.
- Spray the tops very lightly with the cooking spray.
- Bake at 350 for 6 minutes.
- Turn the chips over and bake an additional 5- 8 minutes, or until lightly browned and crisp.
- Cool to room temperature.
- Serve with dips and spreads.

- Slice the bagels thinly -no thicker than 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. How you slice them doesn't matter as much as how uniform they are. Take the time to make the slices as close to each other in size as you can. Put the bagel slices in a deep mixing bowl.
- In a small liquid measuring cup, use a fork or small whisk to combine the olive oil and granulated garlic or garlic powder. Drizzle this over the bagel slices and use your hands to toss until the oil is evenly distributed. Scatter the salt over the top and toss again to evenly distribute it.
- Divide the bagel slices between two pans, trying to keep them in a single layer. Bake for 45 minutes, rotating the pans ever 15 minutes, or until crisp but not hard. Remove the pans from the oven and let the chips cool completely on the pans before transferring to a jar or other container with a tight fitting lid.
