Steps:
- Using a skewer thread the strawberries, orange slices, kiwi, blackberries, grapes, and blueberries.

FRUIT SKEWERS FOR CHILDREN (AND ADULTS TOO!) - CHILD SAFE
These are always a hit with children. We call them traffic lights with the fruit listed. You can use any fruits of your choice. Serve on their own or with a yogurt as a dipping sauce. Even children that aren't keen fruit eaters usually enjoy these.

Steps:
- Peel and chop fruit.
- Thread onto the ice-cream sticks. First the strawberries, then pineapple and lastly the kiwifruits.
- Use a small paring knife to cut a hole into the centre of the fruits if they do not thread easily onto the ice-cream sticks.
- Refrigerate until needed.
- Suggestion-Serve with a yogurt as a dipping sauce.
- Variation- can use any fruits of your choice. They just need to be approx 3 times wider than the ice-cream stick.
- For older children you can use small wooden skewers.
RAINBOW FRUIT SKEWERS
These fruit skewers are healthy and colorful. They will brighten any picnic, brunch, or gathering. Makes 8 skewers.

Steps:
- Choose one fruit for each color of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple). Peel citrus fruits with a knife and cut into 1- inch cubes. Leave berries whole. String 1 fruit from each color onto the skewer in rainbow order. Repeat this until you have 8 fruit skewers.
- Note: This recipe is very adaptable. The above are only suggestions. I encourage people to get creative with other fruits, especially substituting ones that are fresh and in season, keeping to a rainbow pattern!
