1 1/2 cups cubed frozen fruit
3 tablespoons to 1/3 cup Simple Syrup, recipe follows
1 cup sugar
1 cup water

Steps:

  • Add the frozen fruit and a dash of Simple Syrup to a blender. Blend on high until smooth and lump-free (or to the desired consistency). Add more Simple Syrup to taste. Spoon the puree into 2-ounce ice pop molds and freeze until solid, 2 to 3 hours.
  • Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Let cool completely, then refrigerate until chilled.

1/2 lemon, juiced
1 pinch salt
2 cups frozen strawberries, thawed
1/4 cup apple juice
2 tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • Combine blueberry pop ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into 5 of the pop molds. Repeat process with strawberry pop ingredients. Place in freezer for at least 5 hours or overnight.

Simple and wholesome popsicles. My mom used to help us make these when we were kids and I still enjoy them years later. Use honey as an alternate sweetener, and blend the fruit to be either chunky or smooth.

2 cups fresh blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and sliced bananas, mixed
2 cups plain or vanilla yogurt
¼ cup white sugar
8 small paper cups
8 popsicle sticks

Steps:

  • Place the mixed blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, sliced bananas, yogurt, and sugar into a blender. Cover, and blend until fruit is chunky or smooth, as desired.
  • Fill paper cups 3/4 full with fruit mixture. Cover the top of each cup with a strip of aluminum foil. Poke a popsicle stick through the center of the foil on each cup.
  • Place the cups in the freezer for at least 5 hours. To serve, remove foil and peel off the paper cup.

1 peach, cut into 1/2-inch slices (1/2 cup)
2 kiwis, peeled and sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
3 ounces blueberries (1/2 cup)
4 ounces strawberries, hulled and halved ( 3/4 cup)
1 1/2 to 2 cups 100 percent white-grape juice

Steps:

  • Arrange some of each fruit in eight 3-ounce ice-pop molds, making sure pieces fit very snugly. Pour enough juice into each mold to just cover fruit. Insert ice-pop sticks and freeze until solid, 6 hours (or up to 2 weeks).
