Frozen Yogurt Banana Splits Recipes

BROILED BANANA SPLITS

Steps:

• Mix 1 tablespoon brown sugar with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Halve 4 bananas lengthwise; brush with 1 tablespoon melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar. Wrap in foil and broil until golden, about 3 minutes. Top with frozen yogurt, toasted almonds and chopped chocolate and/or raspberries.

GREEK YOGURT BANANA SPLIT

Steps:

• Place banana into individual bowl. Top with yogurt. Spoon jam over yogurt. Sprinkle almonds over top. Garnish with raspberries.

FROZEN BANANA YOGURT

Steps:

• Whizz the flesh from the bananas, yogurt and condensed milk together in a food processor or blender until smooth. Scrape into an ice cream container or loaf tin, or divide between individual pots.
• Crush up the banana chips, if using, by tipping them into a food bag and bashing with the end of a rolling pin - like you would biscuits for a cheesecake base. Swirl through the frozen yogurt mix, then cover the container or containers well with cling film and freeze overnight until solid. Will keep for 3 months in the freezer.

FROZEN YOGURT BANANA SPLITS

Steps:

• Heat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place coconut shavings on prepared baking sheet. Transfer to the heated oven and bake until crisply toasted and pale golden brown, about 8 minutes.
• Meanwhile, combine strawberries, mango, and sugar in a medium bowl. Let stand 5 minutes.
• Place 1 split banana in each of 6 dishes. Divide frozen yogurt in each of six dishes. Spoon over strawberry mango mixture and juices. Sprinkle with toasted coconut curls. Garnish with mint and serve immediately.
