Frozen Blackberry Julep Recipes

BLACKBERRY-MINT JULEP

Steps:

• Roughly chop mint leaves.
• Puree the mint, blackberries, and sugar in a blender. Press through a fine sieve into a bowl; discard seeds.
• Rinse blender, then return puree to blender, and add bourbon and small ice cubes; blend until smooth. Divide mixture among 4 glasses. Garnish each with a mint sprig.

BLACKBERRY-MINT JULEP MARGARITA

Steps:

• Muddle blackberries and mint in a shaker. Add bourbon, tequila, lime juice, and agave nectar.
• Fill shaker with ice. Shake and strain into two julep glasses filled with fresh ice.

FROZEN MINT JULEP

Steps:

• Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan and simmer until the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat and add the mint leaves. Allow to steep until cooled. Once cooled, strain out the leaves.
• Combine half of the mint syrup, 4 cups ice, and 1 cup bourbon in a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into a pitcher. Repeat with the remaining ingredients. Rub the rims of julep cups, if available, or wide-mouthed, long-stemmed glasses with orange slices and dip the rims in sugar, then fill with the frozen mint juleps. Garnish each with an orange slice and mint sprig and serve immediately.

FROZEN DERBY MINT JULEPS

Steps:

• Pour bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and mint leaves into a blender; blend on high until combined. Add ice; blend until juleps have a slushy consistency. Divide among serving glasses.

BLACKBERRY JULEP

Steps:

• Marinate berries in brandy through sugar 3 hours.
• Combine blackberry liqueur through water in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice.
• Strain into a highball glass ¾ filled with crushed ice.
• Garnish with 1 heaping Tbs marinated mixed berries and serve with a straw.
• Use leftover berries to make more drinks or serve over ice cream, pudding, pound cake, etc.
