Number Of Ingredients 5

6 pounds mixed apple varieties (Gala, Honeycrisp, Golden Delicious), peeled, cored and cut into eighths
1 cup apple juice or water
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Steps:

  • Throw the apples, apple juice and lemon juice into a pan and bring it to the boil over medium-high heat. Lower the heat and simmer until the apples are soft, about 15 minutes. Stir through the sugar and mix until melted. Add the cinnamon and stir through.
  • Puree the mixture in a food processor, blender or food mill. If not using right away, leave to cool and then refrigerate.

4 apples - peeled, cored and chopped
¾ cup water
¼ cup white sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, combine apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon. Cover, and cook over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes, or until apples are soft. Allow to cool, then mash with a fork or potato masher.

Ray is one of the original Marlboro men and has enjoyed a long and prestigious career as an award-winning actor in both movies and television.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 lbs granny smith apples, cored, peeled and sliced
2 lbs golden delicious apples, cored, peeled and sliced
1 cup water
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

Steps:

  • Combine apples, water and lemon juice in pot.
  • Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium. Cover and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes.
  • Uncover and cook until mixture becomes thick, about 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and mash apples with potato masher.
  • Stir in sugar and spices and cool. Refrigerate.
  • Yield: 3 pints (6 cups) of awesome applesauce.

2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 cup orange juice

Steps:

  • Peel, Core and quarter apples.
  • Place in crockpot add juice- Cook on High 4-5 hours or low overnight.
  • Add vanilla extract cook on low 2-3 hours.
  • Thats it!
  • Serve hot w/ vanilla ice cream for a treat or cold as a side dish. I mix it with unflavored yogurt or oatmeal.
