1 (2½-3 lb) rack of pork ribs, halved
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon pepper
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 cup honey
½ cup soy sauce
10 cloves garlic, minced

Steps:

  • Season ribs evenly with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili powder. Rub in on all sides.
  • Add honey, soy sauce, and garlic to a large slow cooker.
  • Transfer the ribs to slow cooker and turn them over in sauce until coated. Position the ribs so they are standing up, with the meatier side down, and so the meat side is against the walls of the slow cooker, with the bone sides facing in.
  • Cover and cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 7 - 8 hours. Check after the allotted time, you want to make sure the meat is cooked through and tender.
  • Remove the ribs and transfer to cutting board.
  • Cut between the bones to separate into individual ribs.
  • Serve with additional sauce from the slow cooker, as needed.

½ cup honey

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add garlic; cook and stir until translucent, 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in ketchup, honey, and soy sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until flavors combine, about 5 minutes.

2 ½ lb rack of pork ribs, halved
1 cup honey
½ cup soy sauce
10 garlic cloves, minced

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, paprika, and chili powder. Season the ribs evenly with the mixture, making sure to rub it in on all sides.
  • Add the honey, soy sauce, and garlic to a large slow cooker. Transfer the ribs to slow cooker and turn them over in the sauce until coated. Position the ribs so they are standing up, with the meatier side down, and so the meat is against the walls of the slow cooker, with the bone sides facing in. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 7-8 hours. Check after the allotted time to make sure the meat is cooked through and tender.

6 pounds pork baby back ribs, cut into two-rib portions
2 cups water, divided
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce

Steps:

  • Place ribs bone side down in a large roasting pan; pour 1 cup water over ribs. Cover tightly and bake at 350° for 1-1/2 hours., In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cornstarch, garlic powder and ginger. Stir in the honey, soy sauce and remaining water until smooth. 4 lbs pork spareribs
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup white vinegar
3 -4 minced fresh garlic (or more if desired)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon garlic salt

Steps:

  • Set oven to 300 to 325 degrees (or you could cook at a higher temperature for a shorter time, but I recommend at lower temperature or the sauce might burn).
  • Slice ribs into individual pieces.
  • In a large bowl, combine honey, soy sauce vinegar, fresh minced garlic and brown sugar.
  • Stir until honey and brown sugar are completely dissolved; stir in the baking soda (the mixture will begin to foam).
  • Transfer ribs to the bowl; turn to coat.
  • Cover a cookie sheet with foil, and arrange the ribs meat side up on the sheet; pour the excess sauce all over them, and sprinkle with garlic salt.
  • Bake for 1 hour, turning every 20 minutes (if the sauce on the ribs starts to over brown just cover loosly with foil).

This recipe came from a Canadian living magazine a number of years ago and I have been making them ever since. I so often have a bag made up at the cottage for those unexpected guests or those hot summer days when you just don't feel like cooking. They can also be served as a appetizer.

3 lbs pork ribs
3/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup liquid honey
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
6 garlic cloves, minced

Steps:

  • trim fat from ribs. cut into single ribs.
  • place in large pot and cover with cold water. bring to a boil and skim off foam. reduce heat,cover and simmer for about 40 minutes or until ribs are fork tender. drain well and refrigerate until ribs are cooled.
  • In a large resealable freezer bag or large bowl combine ketchup,honey,vinegar,worcestershire sauce,mustard and garlic,whisking until blended.
  • add ribs turning to coat. seal bag and marinade in fridge for at least 4 hours or up to 24 hours (bag can be flattened and frozen for up to 2 weeks, thaw in fridge overnight).
  • Reserving sauce in bag, place ribs on greased grill over medium high heat. cook brushing often with reserved sauce and turning once, cook 10 yo 15 mins,or until browned, Watch carefully as they brown quickly. prep time does not include standing time.

4 pounds pork spareribs or pork loin back ribs
1 cup honey
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground mustard

Steps:

  • Cut ribs into serving-size pieces; place in a large resealable plastic bag. Combine remaining ingredients; pour half the marinade over the ribs. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for several hours or overnight, turning bag occasionally. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade. , Drain and discard marinade from ribs. Place ribs on a rack in a greased shallow baking pan. Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour. Drain. Pour reserved marinade over ribs. Bake, uncovered, for 30-45 minutes or until meat is tender, brushing occasionally with pan juices.
