EASY HOMEMADE PARSLEY HAIR TREATMENT FOR SHINY HAIR
This is a very unique recipe and I found it so very interesting. I came across this in Rima Soni's Q & A Trouble Shooter column of the Weekend magazine. I will be trying this very soon. Rima Soni is one of my favourite when it comes to the world of beauty and she vouches for this recipe which she got from some natives of Arizona who have shiny and soft hair while she was visiting there. Hope this works for everyone!!!

- Olive Oil. Spectrum Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil $14.00. Shop. “Scalp health is hair health. It’s very important to treat the scalp to see a difference in the look and feel of your hair," says Ruiz.
- Mayonnaise. Mayonnaise may not sound like the most appealing hair mask, but when we heard Blake Lively used it as a means to preserve her shiny tresses, we had to give it a try.
- Coconut Oil. Nutiva Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, 15 oz $12.00. Shop. Coconut oil contains lauric acid, a moisturizing medium-chain fatty acid that penetrates hair and reduces protein loss, making it a great at-home hair treatment for added strength and shine.
- Egg. This might be the messiest DIY on the list, but according to one Byrdie editor, it is a monthly must. Eggs are a great source of protein and fatty acids, and they're full of amino acids that can promote hair growth.
- Bottled-Water Rinse. Evian Natural Spring Water, 24 Count $26.00. Shop. While not as instantaneous as other shiny-hair DIYs, regularly rinsing your hair with bottled mineral water might deliver soft strands.

- Rosemary rinse to thicken hair. This anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial herbal tonic that’s everywhere on social media is a perfect spritz-and-go solution for thinning hair.
- Beer rinse to add volume. The yeast in beer plumps up the hair shaft while the hops and malt are said to nourish and stimulate the hair shaft. The result: shinier, more voluminous hair.
- Sage rinse for product buildup. Boil 2 cups water and remove from heat. Drop in 10 fresh sage leaves or 2 tablespoons dried sage, cover and infuse for 15 minutes.
- Green tea rinse to stop shedding. The caffeine, antioxidants, and catechins found in green tea encourage blood flow and circulation to hair follicles, reduce inflammation, and can ease dandruff.
- Apple cider vinegar rinse to restore shine. The secret to shiny hair is an herb-infused apple cider vinegar hair rinse. Not only does ACV get rid of the gunky buildup that weighs down hair, but it also makes locks super soft.

- Olive Oil. While it’s incredible in sautees and salads, olive oil is a brilliant choice to get gleaming strands. You can try using it in a multitude of ways: As a hot oil pack treatment (place a baggie of oil in a bowl of hot water to heat), as a bonus infusion to your existing conditioner, or in small (very small!)
- Eggs. Forget making an omelette for breakfast—today, we’re going to use those eggs on your strands for an instant at-home shine boost. And both egg yolks and egg whites can help fortify your hair due to their different chemical makeups.
- Beer. While cracking open a beer at the end of a long day sounds good, you may be better off if you save that IPA or pale ale for your hair. Depending on the brew, it’s likely got some combination of malt and hops, both of which are loaded with fortifying proteins, along with the B vitamins in the alcohol itself, which famously add sheen to all types and textures of hair.
- Coconut Oil. Just like many other oils (including the aforementioned and beloved olive oil), coconut oil instantly imparts sheen to strands thanks to the large amount of fatty acids.
- Mayonnaise. Although mayo tends to draw a love-or-hate reaction when it’s spread on a sandwich, the beauty world is in universal agreement that it makes for an excellent shine-inducing hair mask.

- Nourish and Refresh Your Scalp. Clogged scalp pores and product buildup can affect the rest of the hair. A scrubby scalp treatment can cleanse and physically remove dead skin and increase circulation, which can help hair look glossier.
- Add Coffee to Your Conditioner. Don't try this if you have bleached or naturally blonde hair since coffee can stain it, but if you have light brown or darker hair, coffee compounds can be hydrating to the hair shaft and the caffeine may help stimulate hair growth (it can also be a subtle way to color grey hair).
- Rinse Your Hair With Apple Cider Vinegar. If your hair is less shiny due to the buildup of styling products, an apple cider vinegar rinse can help get your hair de-gunked and balance its Ph.
- Nourish Hair With a Coconut Oil Hair Mask. A good deep conditioning hair mask can help smooth frizzies and shine hair up. Coconut oil is particularly good at this because it contains lauric acid (a fatty acid), which has a structure and molecular weight that allows it to penetrate the hair shaft.
- Protect Your Hair While You Sleep. Depending on how much you move around at night, you might be doing more damage to your hair while you sleep than you realize.
