- Preheat oven to 350°. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Brown chicken on both sides. Remove to paper towels to drain., Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, heat butter over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook and stir until tender. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes. , Place chicken in an ungreased 13x9-in. baking dish. Pour sauce over chicken. Bake, uncovered, 45-60 minutes or until chicken juices run clear, basting occasionally.

- Preheat oven to 350°. In a nonstick skillet coated lightly with oil, brown chicken over medium heat. Transfer to a 13x9-in. baking dish coated with cooking spray., Recoat skillet with oil. DELICIOUS OVEN-BARBECUED CHICKEN THIGHS
I love barbecue chicken and I love this way of baking it in the oven during the winter. I like to use chicken thighs, but you could use chicken breasts as well if you prefer those.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a large nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat being careful not to burn.
- Add the chicken and lightly brown.
- Remove chicken and place in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Add onion (if using fresh garlic in place of garlic powder, also add) to the skillet and saute lightly for about 2-3 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the skillet and stir to combine.
- Simmer the sauce for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to blend nicely.
- Pour sauce over the chicken, then flip pieces so that both sides of the chicken are coated with the sauce.
- Bake the chicken uncovered for about 30-40 minutes or until the chicken is no longer pink and the juices run clear.

OVEN BARBECUED CHICKEN
This makes a delicious barbecue chicken with a nice crispy skin.

Steps:
- 1. Sprinkle chicken with seasoned salt and pepper.
- 2. Place each piece on a foil lined, shallow baking dish.
- 3. Bake uncovered at 350 for 35 minutes. Turn and bake for another 35 minutes. Drain off broth as needed and reserve for another use.
- 4. Remove chicken from oven. Turn oven setting to broil.
- 5. Turn chicken skin side down on the pan and brush generously with barbecue sauce. Cook under broiler for 5 minutes. Remove from oven again.
- 6. Turn each piece skin side up and brush generously with barbecue sauce. Broil for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and place on a serving platter. Let stand 5 minutes and serve.
DELICIOUS OVEN-BAKED CRANBERRY BARBECUE CHICKEN (OR TURKEY LEGS)
This is SOOOO good! You can double the complete recipe and bake in a roaster pan, throw in a chopped green bell pepper and/or a jalapeno pepper also if desired! Four small turkey legs can be used in place of the chicken, if using larger turkey legs then double the cranberry sauce and BBQ sauce, also the cooking time will need to be increased.

- Set oven to 350 degrees.
- Butter a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
- Heat butter with oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet; cook on both side until lightly browned, then place the chicken skin-side up into the baking dish (leave the drippings in the pan).
- Add in the onion, celery, garlic and cayenne pepper (if using) adding in a little more oil if needed; sate for about 3 minutes; stir in the cranberry sauce and BBQ sauce; bring to a light simmer, stirring until completey combined, then pour over the chicken.
- Bake uncovered for about 50 minutes or until chicken is tender and cooked through, basting with the sauce a couple times during baking.

- Flour mixture: combine all ingredients in a paper or plastic bag. Coat chicken pieces one at a time in bag.
- Lightly oil a cookie sheet with olive oil. Spread flour-coated chicken pieces evenly on sheet.
