CRISPY CROUTON SALAD
Nothing says "summer" at our house like this unique salad! It's also a great way to use up fresh basil and tomatoes from the garden. I've brought it to many women's luncheons at church, and it's still a much-requested favorite. --LaNae Sanchez, Canyon Country, California

SALAD CROUTONS
I came up with these croutons because all I could ever find in the store were ones that tasted stale and threatened to break a tooth. We love the blend of the slightly sweet of the bread with the garlic. We've been known to just grab a handful for munching ! They're also great tossed on top of a cup of soup!

Meanwhile, scatter salad leaves over a serving platter and sprinkle with the red pepper mix. Drizzle over three quarters of the dressing and toss. Tuck the toasts among the leaves and drizzle with the remaining dressing.
