SLOW COOKER BEEFARONI



Slow Cooker Beefaroni image

Ground beef, elbow macaroni, and a tangy tomato-based sauce create this crock pot version of beefaroni.

Number Of Ingredients 14

2 cups elbow macaroni
3 pounds ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cup ketchup
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup water
4 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons prepared mustard
4 tablespoons white vinegar
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 teaspoons chili powder
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Cook the macaroni to al dente as directed on the package. Drain well when cooked. Meanwhile, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and onion. Cook, stirring, until the beef is cooked and the onion is tender. Drain off any excess grease. Add the beef mixture, cooked pasta, garlic, ketchup, green pepper, water, brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and chili powder to the crock pot. Stir well. Sprinkle with the cheese. Cover the crock pot and cook on high heat for 1-2 hours or until everything is heated through and the cheese is melted. Stir well. Season with salt and pepper if desired before serving.

This was one of my favorite dishes growing up and now it is my children's. Ground beef, cheese and tomato sauce are baked into a simply delicious casserole.

1 pound ground beef
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
2 tablespoons butter
1 (16 ounce) package uncooked elbow macaroni
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Crumble the ground beef into a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until evenly browned. Drain.
  • While the ground beef is cooking, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add macaroni, and cook until tender, about 8 minutes. Drain, and stir in butter. Transfer to a large casserole dish, and mix in the ground beef, tomato sauce, and Cheddar cheese. Sprinkle a little salt and pepper over the top.
  • Bake uncovered for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until heated through and bubbly.

1 large onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef, browned and drained
16 ounce cans stewed tomatoes
16 ounces water
8 ounces elbow macaroni, uncooked
1 salt, to taste
1 black pepper, to taste
1 parmesan cheese, (optional)

Steps:

  • Saute onions and garlic in olive oil until translucent. Brown ground beef and drain. Add ground beef, tomatoes, water, raw macaroni, salt and pepper to the onion and garlic mixture. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until macaroni is tender. If desired, top with Parmesan cheese. Serve with crusty bread and a salad. Enjoy!
