GROUND BEEF AND SAUSAGE PIE (PASTRY OR POTATO TOPPED)
This can also be topped with cooked mashed potatoes instead of the pastry, the filling can also be made in one 10-inch deep-dish pie plate topped with pastry instead of a casserole dish. If you are topping this with mashed potatoes then bake in a shallow baking dish instead of a casserole dish. Prep time does not include preparing the pastry. This is really good!

SAUSAGE PIE
When I was growing up, Mom made this tasty casserole often in summer for our family and guests. It's a great use of garden vegetables, and the sausage adds comforting flavor. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as we do. -Sally Holbrook, Pasadena, California

SAUSAGE PIE
Perfect for breakfast, Sunday brunch or a light dinner served with a mixed green salad. Changing the type of sausage changes the dish considerably. I used fennel and asiago cheese sausage and also added a bit of cheese.
