Chutney Raita image

A quick way to make up a dip or a raita. Tomato or mint chutney are good, but any kind of chutney (store-bought or homemade) can be used.

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup water
4 tablespoons chutney

Steps:

  • In a cereal bowl put the yogurt and water and stir to blend.
  • Add the chutney and mix until well combined, adding more if desired.
  • Check for salt.
  • Variation: 1/4 teaspoons sugar can also be added. Leave out the water for a thicker dip.

  • Mix together yogurt, red chilli powder, black salt, roasted cumin powder and Tata Salt Lite in a bowl. Add the chutney and mix well.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a small non stick pan. Add black sesame seeds and white sesame seeds and sauté till they splutter.
  • Add the tempering to the yogurt mixture and mix well.Transfer into a serving bowl and serve with biryani.
