CHOCOLATE COVERED OREOS RECIPE

Steps:
- Melt the chocolate placing them in separate microwave safe bowls and heating in 15-20 second intervals (stir between each interval) until they are completely melted.
- Place the chocolate into the bottom of the molds filling them approximately 1/3 full. I filled half of the molds with the white chocolate and the other half with the semi-sweet chocolate.
- Then place a Oreo on top of the candy in the mold.
- Press the Oreo down into the chocolate or melted candy to ensure that the sides get completely covered. Only leave the top of the cookie uncovered.
- Then pour additional chocolate or melted candy over the top of the cookie in the mold making sure that it's covered completely. Use the same color that was used on the bottom of the Oreo in that mold.
- Allow the chocolate to harden at room temperature (1 hour) or you can place it in the refrigerator to speed up the process. (15 minutes).
- Then remove the Oreos from the mold. Turn the mold upside down and press down at the center of the back of the molds to pop the Oreos out.
- Drizzle additional melted chocolate over the top of the Oreos. I drizzled with the opposite chocolate type.

- Gather the ingredients.
- Line a baking sheet with waxed paper or parchment paper , and set aside for now.
- Place the chocolate candy coating in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring after every 30 seconds to prevent overheating until the coating is melted and smooth.
- Using forks or dipping tools, dip a cookie in the chocolate coating until it's coated completely. Remove it from the coating and let the excess drip back into the bowl, then place it onto a baking sheet lined with parchment or waxed paper. Repeat until all of the cookies are dipped.
- Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave, and transfer the melted chocolate to a paper cone or a plastic bag with the tip snipped off.
- Drizzle the white chocolate in thin lines over the dipped cookies. Alternately, you can sprinkle the cookies with chopped nuts, coconut, small candies, or sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
- Refrigerate the tray to let the chocolate set completely, for about 15 to 20 minutes. Store these chocolate-dipped Oreos in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.

CHOCOLATE-COVERED OREOS®
This recipe is very simple but will wow anyone. Oreo® recently started selling them, but I still like to make my own. You can substitute the milk chocolate chips for white, dark, and even mint during Christmas time.

Steps:
- Place milk chocolate chips and shortening in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir frequently, scraping down the sides with a rubber spatula to avoid scorching, until chocolate is melted, about 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Drop one Oreo® into the chocolate, making sure it is covered completely. Remove the cookie using a knife, picking it up by the bottom. Lightly shake or tap the knife so that excess chocolate can be removed and place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining cookies.
- Let cookies dry completely, about 1 hour.
- Drizzle melted white chocolate over dried cookies. Let dry completely before storing, about 1 hour more.

- Empty 1 bag white candy melts into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 50% power for 1 minute. Stir and continue to microwave in 15- to 30-second intervals until candy is almost completely melted. Let sit for about 1 minute and stir until smooth. Set the second bag of white candy melts aside.
- Dunk a cookie in the white melted candy. Use a fork to turn it over to ensure it's completely coated on all sides. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place 2 sprinkles in the middle for eyes. Place 1 half of a Tic Tac® under the eyes for a nose. Place 4 more sprinkles in a semi circle on the bottom for the mouth. Repeat for remaining cookies, melting the second bag of white candy melt as needed.
- Place the baking sheet in a cool, dry area for about 25 minutes so candy coating can harden. Do not place in the freezer or the snowmen will sweat.
- Melt the red candy melts as in step 2.
- Cut any excess chocolate off around each cookie. Dip the top part of each cookie in the red melted candy to make a hat and add an M&M® for a design. Place on a new parchment-lined baking sheet and allow to harden, about 25 minutes. Cut off any excess chocolate before serving.

- Melt white chocolate (In microwave, over stove, etc.).
- The time it takes to melt it varies, depending on the heat of the microwave or stove.
- Heat it up for a minute or two, check on it, and heat it again.
- Dip each oreo in white chocolate, then lay out on a paper towel (You can really use anything, tinfoil, baking sheet, etc.).
- Sprinkle with sprinkles!
- Let cool for about 30 minutes.
