No-Bake Chow Mein Noodle Cookies image

Our No-Bake Chow Mein Cookies recipe has been a family favorite for years! It's a simple refrigerator drop cookie that only needs 4 ingredients: crunchy chow mein noodles, butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, and peanuts.

Number Of Ingredients 4

11-12 ounces butterscotch chips (about 2 cups)
11-12 ounces chocolate chips (about 2 cups)
12 ounces chow mein noodles (about 6 cups)
1 cup salted peanuts

Steps:

  • Line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper.
  • Place both the butterscotch chips and the chocolate chips in a large microwave-safe bowl. Melt the chips together in the microwave, stirring chips every 30-45 seconds, until smooth.
  • Remove from microwave and begin folding in the chow mein noodles a little at a time until they are completely coated with the melted chip mixture. Fold in peanuts until they are completely coated.
  • Drop chow mein mixture by the spoonful onto prepared baking sheet. Place baking sheet in the refrigerator until Chow Mein Cookies have completely set.
  • Once Chow Mein Cookies have set, store covered at room temperature.

1 cup butterscotch chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (or chunky peanut butter)
1/2 cup peanuts
2 cups chow mein noodles (crumbled slightly, if desired)

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Lay a sheet of waxed paper or parchment paper on the countertop.
  • Put the butterscotch chips in a medium microwave-safe bowl or container. Microwave at 50% power for about 3 to 5 minutes, or just until the butterscotch chips are melted.
  • In a large bowl, mix the peanut butter, peanuts, melted butterscotch chips, and chow mein noodles, stirring gently to coat the noodles thoroughly.
  • Drop teaspoons of the mixture onto the parchment paper. Let them stand at room temperature until set.
  • Transfer candies to a container, separated by sheets of waxed paper.
  • Cover and store in the refrigerator. Enjoy!

2 pkg butterscotch chips
1 can(s) chinese noodles
1 c salted peanuts

Steps:

  • 1. Melt both packages of Butterscotch chips in a microwave prove bowl 50 percent heat for 30 seconds at a time till melted completely. Careful not to burn, add noodles & peanuts and stir till well blended. On cookie sheet lined with wax paper drop teaspoons full on cookie sheet, let cool till candy has set up. If it starts to harden just place bowl in microwave to soften and continue.
  • 2. Any nuts will work, but I like the salt peanuts for the salty sweet taste. Spanish peanuts have the red skins I don't use them cause of that. But if you don't mind that there good to.
