1 bacon slice, finely chopped
2 1/4 cups finely chopped onion, divided (about 2 medium)
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 pound coarsely ground turkey breast
1/2 pound coarsely ground sirloin
1 (12-ounce) can beer (such as Budweiser)
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (8-ounce) can no-salt-added tomato sauce
1 (15-ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup (2 ounces) reduced-fat shredded cheddar cheese
Oyster crackers (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Cook bacon in a large Dutch oven over medium heat 5 minutes or until browned. Stir in 2 cups onion; cover and cook until onion is tender (about 5 minutes). Uncover and stir in garlic; cook for 1 minute. 2. Increase heat to medium-high; add turkey and sirloin to pan. Cook 5 minutes or until browned, stirring to crumble. Add beer; cook until liquid is reduced to 1/3 cup (about 7 minutes). Stir in chili powder and next 5 ingredients (through tomato sauce). Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes or until mixture thickens. Stir in beans; cook 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Ladle 1 cup chili into each of 6 bowls. Top each serving with 4 teaspoons cheese and 2 teaspoons onion. Serve with crackers, if desired.

1 pouch Progresso™ roasted vegetable chili with three beans
Diced tomatoes
Chopped avocado
Diced red onion
Sliced scallions
Shredded Cheddar cheese
Crumbled queso fresco
Sliced jalapeño chiles
Chopped fresh cilantro
Sour cream
Frank's™ RedHot™ Original cayenne pepper sauce
Lime wedges

Steps:

  • Heat chili as directed on pouches.
  • To serve, arrange Toppings in small bowls. Top each bowl of chili as desired.

3 lb sirloin (cubed, or london broil beef or tri-tip steak)
4 Tbsp vegetable oil
6 oz sausage
14 oz beef broth
8 oz tomato sauce
6 oz snap e tom (tomato & chili cocktail juice)
6 oz beer
11 Tbsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp onion powder
1 Tbsp cumin
2 tsp tabasco sauce
salt to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Saute beef in oil. Fry sausage till done and drain well. Put beef, sausage and one half can of Beef Broth in your favorite chili pot and bring to slow simmer.
  • 2. Add 8 oz. can of Tomato Sauce, Snap-E-Tom, 6 ozs of Beer, 6 tablespoons of Chili Powder,1 teaspoon of Garlic Powder, 1 tablespoon of Onion Powder,1 teaspoon Tabasco Pepper Sauce and beef broth.
  • 3. Simmer slowly for about an hour and 30 minutes or until meat is tender.
  • 4. Add the remaining 5 tablespoons of Chili Powder, 1 tablespoon of Cumin,1 teaspoon Tabasco Pepper Sauce. Simmer for 30 minutes, Salt to taste.

  • Whether you're doing one chili or multiples, I suggest making them a few days ahead of time and freezing them. The night before, stick the containers in the fridge and the morning of, dump it in the slow cooker! Another option is to make the chili the night before and let it cook all night. The night before, you can also chop a lot of your ingredients and grate you cheeses, place them in small ziplock bags or bowls covered with plastic wrap and store them in the fridge.
  • If you go the queso right, I suggest getting one of the smaller slow cookers or using a fondue pot to keep it hot! I find the slow cooker option works best.
  • Right before your party, assemble your toppings. If you're have a ton of guests, I suggest using heavy duty disposable bowls! Put everyone out on a table, starting with the chili so people can move through a chili assembly line. It's perfect! I always place the chips and the hot dogs near the chili too.
