Yummy Cheese Fries image

Easy and fast, these Cheddar cheese fries are served with bacon and dipped in ranch dressing.

3 slices bacon
1 (28 ounce) package frozen French fries
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Ranch dressing

Steps:

  • Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels; crumble.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C). Place a piece of aluminum foil over a baking sheet; spread fries in a single layer on baking sheet.
  • Bake in preheated oven until golden brown and crisp, 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Preheat broiler.
  • Sprinkle fries with cheese and crumbled bacon.
  • Broil until cheese is melted, 1 to 2 minutes. Serve with Ranch dressing.

  • Bake 4 cups curly fries as the label directs. Meanwhile, make the cheese sauce: Melt 1 stick butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Sprinkle in 1/4 cup flour and whisk until smooth, 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in 1 cup milk and a pinch of nutmeg; whisk until smooth, 3 minutes. Add 8 ounces cubed Velveeta cheese and whisk until melted, about 5 minutes. Whisk in 1/4 cup lager beer or chicken broth, 1 teaspoon hot sauce and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt. Add the fries and toss.

2 1/2 cups frozen cottage fries (half of 2-lb bag)
1 1/2 cups chopped deli rotisserie chicken (without skin)
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (6 oz)
1/2 cup chopped precooked bacon (8 slices from 2.1-oz package)
Sour cream, if desired
Ketchup, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 450°F. Line 15x10x1-inch pan with foil. Bake cottage fries as directed on bag.
  • Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix chicken, mayonnaise, garlic powder and chili powder.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup of the cheese evenly over hot cottage fries. Spoon chicken mixture evenly over cheese. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and the bacon.
  • Bake 3 to 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Serve with sour cream and ketchup.

3 medium baking potatoes
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon paprika
3 tablespoons margarine

Steps:

  • Wash potatoes and cut into wedges or slices.
  • Combine cheese, salt, garlic, paprika and stir well.
  • Arrange potatoes in lightly greased 15x10x1 pan.
  • Brush margarine on potatoes and sprinkle cheese mixture on top.
  • Bake 375F, uncovered for 40 minutes till tender.

  • Combine potatoes and oil in bowl,stir well, covering all potatoes in oil.
  • Add potatoes to bag with seasonings. Shake to coat all.
  • Arrange potatoes in pan (single layer for faster cooking)bake for 10 minute.
  • Turn over potatoes and bake for another 10 minute.
