3/4 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup baking cocoa
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white baking chips
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1 bottle (50 ml) coffee-flavored, raspberry-flavored or Irish cream-flavored liqueur

Steps:

  • Layer all ingredients except liqueur in order listed in 1-quart jar with screw-on lid. Attach liqueur bottle to jar with ribbon.
  • Include directions below Directions for Celebration Brownie Mix Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of square pan, 8x8x2 or 9x9x2 inches, with shortening. Melt 1/2 cup butter or margarine. Beat melted butter, 2 eggs and the liqueur in medium bowl with spoon until blended. Stir in Celebration Brownie Mix. Spread batter in pan. Bake 8-inch pan 30 to 35 minutes, 9-inch pan 25 to 30 minutes, or until dry around edges and toothpick inserted in center comes out almost clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour. For brownies, cut into 4 rows by 4 rows. Makes 16 brownies.

1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 ¼ cups white sugar
½ cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt in a quart jar. Layer remaining ingredients in the order listed. Press each layer firmly in place before adding the next layer. NOTE: Be sure to wipe out the inside of the jar with a dry paper towel after adding the cocoa powder, so the other layers will show through the glass.
  • Attach a tag with the following instructions: Brownie Mix in a Jar 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13inch baking pan. 2. Empty jar of brownie mix into a large mixing bowl, and stir to blend. Mix in 3/4 cup melted butter and 4 eggs. Mix thoroughly. Spread batter evenly into prepared baking pan. 3. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely in pan before cutting into 2 inch squares.

1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup mini chocolate chip
1 cup butter, melted
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Wash and dry jars and lids in the dishwasher.
  • Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt in a quart jar, pack firmly and brush residue off the insides of the jar with a pastry brush.
  • Add cocoa, pack firmly and brush sides.
  • Add sugar, pack and brush.
  • Add chocolate chips and seal.
  • Attach the following recipe:.
  • 1 jar brownie mix.
  • 1 cup butter melted.
  • 3 eggs.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla.

1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
95 g plain flour
35 g cocoa
75 g plain flour
135 g brown sugar
150 g sugar
100 g chocolate chips
100g white chocolate chips
50 g walnuts or pecans (optional)
150g melted butter
3 beaten eggs

Steps:

  • Layer the dry ingredients in a one litre jar, following the order above, from top, starting with the baking powder and flour. Press each layer down before adding the next. The amounts given should exactly fill a one litre jar.
  • Give to your friend :) Remember to include a tag with the following instructions
  • For the tag:
  • Combine the contents of the jar with 150g melted butter and 3 beaten eggs. Mix well, and pour into a lined 9 x 9 inch tin. Bake at Gas 4 / 180 C (160 fan) / 350 F for 25-35 minutes.

  • Pour sugar into a clean and dry one quart jar. Press down firmly.
  • Add cocoa powder and press down firmly. Pour in chopped pecans, making sure pecans are evenly layered in the jar. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Pour into jar and seal.
  • Attach the following directions to the jar: Empty mix into large bowl. Use your hands to mix thoroughly. Add 3/4 cup of butter or margarine and 4 slightly beaten eggs. Mix until completely blended. Spread batter into a lightly greased or sprayed 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) for 30 minutes or until done. Cool in pan. Cut into 2 inch squares.
