CAJUN BAKED FRENCH FRIES

Amazing flavor and healthy too! Friends and family always rave about them, and they're even a hit with my 2 and 3 year old.

¼ cup olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon sea salt
6 large baking potatoes, sliced into thin wedges

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, Cajun seasoning, and sea salt in a large resealable bag. Add potatoes and toss to evenly coat with seasoned oil. Spread coated potatoes in 1 layer onto a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes. Stir potatoes with a spatula and continue cooking until crisp, about 10 more minutes.

4 medium thin-skinned white potatoes
3 to 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons cayenne pepper sauce
1 teaspoon (1/3 handful) ground thyme or poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon (1/3 handful) sweet paprika
1 teaspoon (1/3 handful) ground cumin
Coarse salt and black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Cut potatoes into wedges. In a large bowl, combine oil, hot sauce, thyme, paprika, and cumin. Toss potatoes in dressing and spread out in a single layer on a nonstick cookie sheet. Season wedges with salt and pepper and roast for 20 minutes, turning once.

1 medium sweet potato, peeled and cut into sticks about 1/4-inch thick
2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon cajun seasoning, to taste
6 ounces boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
ketchup
creole mustard (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat your grill to high heat and the oven to 450°F
  • Toss the sweet-potato sticks in 1 tsp of the olive oil and 1/2 tsp of Cajun seasoning.
  • Place them in a single layer on a nonstick baking sheet so they don't touch each other. Bake the fries for 10 minutes, flip them over, and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until they're tender and starting to brown. Meanwhile, toss the chicken in the remaining olive oil, then sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. About 5 minutes before the fries are done, grill the chicken for about 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until the strips are no longer pink inside.
  • Serve immediately with ketchup and Creole mustard, if desired.

2 teaspoons creole seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1/8 teaspoon red pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Get Turbo Ready:.
  • Cut potatoes lengthwise into fourths. Place slices in a plastic bag with all seasoning and toss until coated.
  • Let's Start Turbo Cooking!
  • 6 Min Valve CLOSED - Place potatoes in base and add 2 tablespoons of water/Cook on high.
  • 6 Min Valve CLOSED - Flip potatoes to uncooked cut side and reduce heat to medium high. Add 2 tablespoons of water and cook until crispy.
