Are you in the mood for a slightly sweet, lightly spiced latte? This brown sugar latte contains an easy homemade cinnamon simple syrup, plus bold espresso and creamy steamed milk. Get ready for a cozy treat!

1 cup brown sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
1 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 shots espresso (or ½ cup strong coffee)
8 ounces milk (any kind)
1 tablespoon cinnamon brown sugar syrup
Ground cinnamon (optional garnish)

Steps:

  • Make the cinnamon brown sugar syrup. Combine the brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, and water in a small saucepan. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring regularly. Then let the syrup cool and remove the cinnamon sticks.
  • Pull two shots of espresso using your favorite espresso maker, or brew ½ cup of strong coffee.
  • Heat your milk on the stove or in the microwave. Then froth it using a whisk or mason jar.
  • Pour the espresso or coffee into your coffee mug. Add the cinnamon brown sugar syrup, and then pour the steamed milk on top. Spoon on milk foam and add a sprinkle of cinnamon as a garnish!

1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 cup strong brewed coffee

Steps:

  • Combine milk, caramel sauce, and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Froth mixture using a stick blender.
  • Pour hot milk mixture into a mug, holding back the foam with the back of a spoon. Add coffee and pour foam on top.

½ cup unsweetened coconut milk beverage (such as Silk®)
1 tablespoon brown sugar
½ teaspoon coconut oil
¼ teaspoon coconut extract
1 cup strong brewed coffee

Steps:

  • Combine canned coconut milk, coconut milk beverage, brown sugar, coconut oil, and coconut extract in a saucepan. Heat over low heat until hot. Use an immersion blender to froth milk mixture until foamy.
  • Pour coconut milk mixture into a large mug, holding foam back with the back of a spoon. Pour in coffee and add foam on top.

1 tablespoon brown sugar
¼ cup half-and-half
1 tablespoon caramel ice cream topping
¾ cup hot, brewed coffee

Steps:

  • Stir brown sugar into half-and-half until dissolved. Whip with a milk frother or small whisk. Pour coffee into a mug, and stir in caramel sauce until dissolved. Pour frothed half-and-half into coffee, and serve.
