1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 slice multigrain bread, toasted and crumbled
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
3 cups fresh broccoli florets
1 tablespoon water
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Steps:

  • In a small skillet, saute garlic in oil for 30 seconds. Stir in bread crumbs and lemon zest; cook 1 minute longer. Remove from the heat. Stir in parsley; set aside., Place broccoli and water in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain. Drizzle with lemon juice; toss to coat. Sprinkle with crumb mixture.

This is an easy recipe for a delicious broccoli side that takes just a few minutes to make.

1 pound broccoli, separated into florets
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pinch salt
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Place broccoli florets in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir 2 teaspoons lemon juice into water in a small bowl and pour the mixture into the skillet. Cover and steam until broccoli is bright green and tender, 10 to 15 minutes.
  • While broccoli is steaming, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat and stir in garlic and salt; turn heat to low and let the garlic gently fry until golden brown, about 8 minutes. Drain water from cooked broccoli and return to skillet; sprinkle with 2 more teaspoons lemon juice and the butter and garlic mixture. Sprinkle broccoli with black pepper, toss to combine, and season with a bit more pepper if desired.

1 bunch broccoli, cut into flowerets
7 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon minced lemon, zest of
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups soft white breadcrumbs

Steps:

  • Cook broccoli in plenty of salted water until crisp-tender, about 4 minutes.
  • Drain.
  • Transfer to bowl of ice water and cool.
  • Drain and pat dry.
  • (can be prepared 8 hours ahead) Melt 3 tblsps butter in large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add broccol and saute until heated through, about 1 minute.
  • Transfer to plate; keep warm.
  • Add 4 tblsps butter, peel and add garlic to skillet; cook until butter begins to brown, about 1 minute.
  • Add breadcrumbs; stir until golden, about 3 minutes.
  • Season.
  • Top broccoli with breadcrumbs.

2 heads broccoli, cut into florets
⅓ cup panko bread crumbs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon lemon zest
½ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon lemon juice
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil.
  • Toss broccoli, bread crumbs, olive oil, garlic powder, lemon zest, salt, black pepper, and pepper flakes on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Toss broccoli and continue to roast until golden brown around the edges and slightly crisp, but not mushy, about 10 more minutes.
  • Remove from the oven. Immediately drizzle with lemon juice, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve.

2 slices whole wheat bread
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon lemon zest
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Lightly toast the bread.
  • Put the bread in a food processor or blender and chop into bread crumbs.
  • Melt the butter in a small skillet.
  • Add the bread crumbs and sauté over medium heat until toasted. Add the lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, until dry.
  • Set crumb mixture aside to get to room temperature (This mixture can be made ahead.).
  • Steam the broccoli.
  • Top broccoli with the lemon breadcrumbs, and mix together.
  • Serve.

  • In a food processor, pulse the white bread until large crumbs form. In a large skillet, melt the butter. Add the bread crumbs and cook them over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until golden. Remove from the heat. Stir in the crushed red pepper and lemon zest and season with salt. Transfer the crumbs to a plate to cool. Wipe out the skillet.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the Broccolini and cook until crisp-tender, about 3 minutes. Drain well, shaking off the excess water; pat dry.
  • In the large skillet, heat the olive oil until shimmering. Add the shallot and cook over moderate heat, stirring, until lightly browned, about 1 minute. Add the Broccolini, season lightly with salt and cook, stirring occasionally, until the Broccolini is lightly browned in spots, about 4 minutes. Transfer the Broccolini to a serving platter and sprinkle the lemony bread crumbs on top. Serve right away with lemon wedges.
