BRIAN'S SAUSAGE BALLS

Brian's Sausage Balls image

This is a really good recipe for a cheesy, meaty, breakfasty, fun appetizer. I learned it from my sister's boyfriend, and am keeping it here so I won't lose it.

Categories     Pork

Time 25m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 cups pancake mix (Bisquick)
2 cups shredded cheese (Cheddar works nicely)
1 (16 ounce) roll of pork sausage (Jimmy Dean maple)
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 -4 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375.
  • Mix the cheese pancake mix, and dry mustard in a large bowl.
  • Break up the sausage roll into smaller bits and add to the bowl.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of water and continue to mix.
  • If it seems to dry add more water so that it is a fairly sticky mixture.
  • Roll into balls about the size of a golf ball and place on an non-greased cooking sheet. (A pizza pan works nicely, and you will most likely need two no matter what).
  • Put in the oven for about 17 minutes.
  • Serve with syrup, ranch, honey mustard, etc.
