BLOOD SUCKER

Steps:

• Pour rum, Cointreau and juice into a shaker with ice.
• Shake mixture, then pour into a rocks glass.
• Dip the end of a drinking straw into the berry puree, hold the tip of your finger over the other end and use the straw to squirt puree into the bottom half-inch of the drink, where it will sink in red blobs.
• Do not stir.

BLOOD AND DIRT COCKTAIL

Steps:

• Fill a large cocktail shaker with ice. Add the Scotch, vermouth, cherry liqueur, beet juice, lime juice and pomegranate juice. Attach the shaker and lid and shake well until chilled.
• Rub the lime wedge along the rims of 4 chilled coupe glasses. Pour the black sugar onto a shallow dish and dip the rims of the glasses into the sugar.
• Strain the cocktail into each glass and garnish each with a cherry.
