BISTRO-STYLE MUSTARD VINAIGRETTE

Number Of Ingredients 8

3 tbsp. of red wine vinegar
3 tbsp. of German-style grainy mustard
0.5 c. of diced onion
1 tsp. of minced garlic
2 tsp. of fresh thyme
0.5 tsp. of salt
0.5 tsp. of ground black pepper
0.75 c. of extra-virgin olive oil

Steps:

  • 1. Process vinegar, mustard, onion, garlic, thyme, salt and pepper in blender until shallot and garlic are finely chopped, about 15 seconds.
  • 2. With blender running, add oil and continue to process until smooth and emulsified, about 15 seconds.

1 shallot, peeled
1 small garlic clove, peeled
2 teaspoons fresh thyme
salt
ground black pepper
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

Steps:

  • Process vinegar, mustard, shallot, garlic, thyme, ½ teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon pepper in a blender until shallot and garlic are finely chopped-about 15 seconds.
  • Keep blender running and add oil; continue to process until smooth and emulsified-about 15 seconds.
