- Wacky Rig. 0:32. Rigging the senko style bait or stick bait wacky style gives your plastic a different look, causing it to fall with a slow and pulsating motion that flicker and flutters as it slowly descends to the bottom.
- Ned Rig. 1:38. It doesn’t get any simpler. The ned rig is just a small chunk of a soft plastic stick bait threaded onto a light 1/16 to 1/4 ounce jighead.
- Texas Rig. 3:03. The Texas rig consists of four basic elements: a soft plastic lure, bullet-shaped sinker, pegging device and a hook. The hook is the key component of the rig.
- Drop Shot Rig. 6:12 The drop shot rig is quickly becoming one of the most important rigs in bass fishing. You can fish drop shot rigs fished deep, shallow, and anywhere in between.
- Carolina Rig. 9:03. Carolina rigs are more effective in open-water situations along structure such as long points and vast flats where an angler needs to cover water quickly.

- The Texas Rig. The Basics – This is one of the first rigs most of learned for soft plastics when we started bass fishing. The rig is pretty simple and becomes second nature after you rig about 1,000 worms this way.
- The Carolina Rig. The Basics â The Carolina rig is made to separate the worm from the weight so that the worm is a more natural horizontal freedom of movement.
- The Drop Shot Rig. The Basics â The drop shot rig presents the bait in a horizontal fashion up off the bottom but is a tremendously effective way to fish vertically.
- The Wacky Rig. The Basics â The wacky rig offers anglers a very natural looking profile to a bait that sits horizontally in the water but falls slowly vertically and can be fished in one spot very well.
- The Neko Rig. The Basics â Really we consider this rig probably 4b as it starts as a wacky rig. But truth be told it’s the exact opposite of a wacky rig because of how the worm is displayed to the fish.

- Texas Rig. The Texas rig is quite possibly the most versatile and the most commonly-used bass fishing rig today. It’s very simple and can be used at virtually any time of year to get bites from hungry bass in both shallow or deep water situations.
- Carolina Rig. The Carolina rig has many similarities to the Texas style rig, but the main difference is that the sinker is usually placed anywhere from about 18 to 24 inches in front of the actual soft plastic worm.
- Wacky Rig. The wacky rig is one of the most productive methods of enticing fish to come out of heavy cover when bass are hidden deep inside brush piles, vegetation and other types of cover.
- Drop Shot Rig. The Drop Shot rig is an excellent way to target fish that are deep down in cover, but it also works well in shallow water scenarios as well.
- Neko Rig. The Neko rig is a somewhat new bass fishing technique with soft plastics that’s very similar to the wacky rig in many ways. In fact the use of the O-ring and the type of hook are the same in both the wacky rig and Neko rig.
- Chicken Rig. One of the newer, up-and-coming types of rigs for bass is the Chicken rig. This has many similarities to the Neko rig in, but creates a presentation that can be fished more slowly at times.
- Split-Shot Rig. The Split-Shot rig is mostly considered to be an outdated bass fishing technique as more anglers have opted for the Drop Shot or Shaky Head rigs instead.
- Tokyo Rig. One of the more overlooked or lesser-known rigs for bass is the Tokyo rig. This is a fairly new style of fishing that draws a lot of similarities to the Texas rig, but keeps the bait off the bottom using an interesting weight that’s connected with a wire.
- Fluke Rigs. There are a few different ways to rig a fluke for bass that will work in a variety of situations. The Zoom Super Fluke has been a revolutionary type of lure that other manufacturers have sought to recreate with varying levels of success.
