1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 (8 ounce) jar salsa
1 medium green pepper, chopped
2 (2 1/4 ounce) cans sliced ripe olives, drained
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 loaf unsliced French bread
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the salsa, green pepper, olives, salt, chili powder, garlic, and cumin. Remove from the heat. Cut bread in half lengthwise; place on a baking sheet. Spread meat mixture over sides and sprinkle with cheese. Bake @450 for 10-15 minutes.

1 loaf whole wheat bread
4 ½ cups low-moisture mozzarella, cut into about twenty pieces
2 cups white chedder, grated, or comte cheese
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
1 handful parsley, chopped
3 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400˚F (200˚C).
  • Cut the bread diagonally to form diamond shapes, making sure not to cut all the way down to the base of the bread.
  • Place the pieces of white cheddar between cuts.
  • Cover with shredded mozzarella.
  • Sprinkle salt, pepper, parsley, and melted butter on top.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until all the cheese is melted and the bread is lightly toasted.
  • Enjoy!

1 unsliced loaf French bread (1 pound)
1 pound ground beef
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cheddar cheese soup, undiluted
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 celery rib, chopped
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
4 slices American cheese, halved

Steps:

  • Cut off top of bread. Carefully hollow out bottom of loaf, leaving a 1/2-in. shell. Cut removed bread into small cubes; set aside. In a skillet, brown beef; drain. Add soup, green pepper, celery, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Cook and stir 3-4 minutes. Stir in the reserved bread cubes. Spread into bread shell; top with cheese. Replace bread top. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 6-8 minutes or until cheese is melted.

1 loaf (1 pound) French bread
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound bulk pork sausage
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1 large egg, beaten
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon fennel seed
2 tablespoons butter
1 garlic clove, minced

Steps:

  • Cut a thin slice off the top of the bread. Hollow out bottom half, leaving a 1/4-in. shell. In a food processor or blender, process bread crumbs until coarse; set aside 1 cup. (Discard remaining crumbs or save for another use.) , In a skillet, brown beef, sausage and onion; drain. Stir in reserved crumbs, cheese, egg, parsley, mustard, pepper, salt and fennel; mix well. Spoon into bread shell; replace bred top. Place on a large sheet of heavy-duty foil. , In a small saucepan, melt butter; add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Brush over tops and sides of loaf. Using Colorado beef and an Idaho potato makes this hearty sandwich a real Western meal! If you have a leftover baked potato from dinner, this is a perfect way to use it.

1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 large baked potato, peeled and cubed
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Dash hot pepper sauce
1 loaf (1 pound) French bread
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook the beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the potato, soup, mushrooms, parsley, garlic powder, pepper and hot pepper sauce; cover and simmer for 10 minutes., Meanwhile, cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Hollow out bottom of loaf, leaving a 3/4-in. shell; set aside. Place the removed bread in a blender; cover and process until crumbled. Add 1 cup of crumbs to beef mixture (save remaining crumbs for another use). Stir in cheese. , Spoon beef mixture into bread shell; replace bread top. 1/2 c club crackers, crushed
1 large egg
2/3 c evaporated milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp mustard
1/2 c onion chopped

1 c shredded cheddar cheese or any other cheese you prefer

Steps:

  • 1. Pre-Heat oven to *350. Cut french bread into half, (length wise) put on cookie sheet.
  • 2. Mix together all ingredients and spread onto french bread. Put tinfoil around the edges of the bread leaving the meat exposed, cook for 45 min at *350.
  • 3. *****NOTE***** At the last 5-7 minutes,If you want a cheesier topping, place more cheese on top of your loaf, and cook till melted.

  • Brown the ground beef, onion, and celery in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain any grease. Add the garlic and celery leaves to skillet. Sauté 2 minutes longer.
  • Add soup, milk and Worcestershire sauce. Season with the celery salt, pepper and cajun seasoning. Stir and cook until mixture is heated through, about another 3 - 4 minutes. Fold in 1/2 cup of the cheese.
