My family members have always been big on bread. And when I created this simple loaf, they asked for it time and again. if there is any left over, I like it for toast in the morning.

- In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer. Select basic bread setting. Choose crust color and loaf size if available., Bake according to bread machine directions (check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water or flour if needed).

- Combine all the ingredients except the bread and cheese in a food processor, and process until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cut open the loaf of bread and spread both halves with the basil butter. Put the halves together and wrap in aluminum foil.
- Bake for in a 400ºF oven for 10 minutes.
- Remove the bread, separate the halves and load them up with Parmesan cheese. Return them to the oven and either crank up the heat to 500ºF or put them under the broiler.
- Cook until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and starting to get brown. Serve!

- Drain, but do not rinse, the artichoke hearts (I use Polar brand). Roughly chop them into quarters.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the artichokes, basil, and all seasonings. Set aside.
- Open the garlic bread and bake it on a sheet pan, (usually at 375-400 degrees F. in a pre-heated oven), until it is warm through but not browned. This should take about 10-12 minutes.
- Remove the garlic bread from the oven and spread on the artichoke/tomato/basil blend evenly on all parts of the bread. Then, sprinkle on the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
- Return the bread to the oven and allow it to continue to bake until the cheese melts and browns just slightly, (about 5-8 minutes).
- Remove the bread from the oven, cut into pieces, and serve hot.
