I got this recipe for TOH's Quick Cooking magazine. My DH and his buddies just absolutely raved about these. They were devoured!!

Ingredients

1 (1 lb) package hot dog
2 (15 ounce) cans chili without beans
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cheddar cheese soup
1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chilies, drained
10 hot dog buns
1 medium onion, chopped
1 -2 cup corn chips, coarsely chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

Place hot dogs in a slow cooker.
In a bowl, combine the chili, soup, and green chilies; pour over hot dogs.
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
Serve hot dogs in buns; top with chili mixture, onion, corn chips, and cheese.

Chili dogs with a hint of Tex-Mex. Green chiles, cheese soup, and beanless chili are cooked in the crock pot with hot dogs. Serve on buns along with chopped onion, shredded cheese, and corn chips.

Ingredients

1 package (1 pound size) hot dogs
2 cans (15 ounce size) chili without beans
1 can (10 ounce size) condensed cheddar cheese soup, undiluted
1 can (4 ounce size) chopped green chiles, drained
10 hot dog buns, split
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups coarsely crushed corn chips
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Steps:

Place the hot dogs in the bottom of a crock pot. Combine the chili, cheese soup, and green chiles in a bowl. Mix well. Pour over the hot dogs. Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 2-3 hours or until the hot dogs and chili are heated through. Using tongs, place a hot dog on each bun. Top with a heaping spoonful of the chili, a sprinkling of onions, corn chips, and cheese. Serve immediately.

1 pound ground beef
1 finely chopped small onion
1 can (15 ounces) tomato puree
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon finely chopped green pepper
1 tablespoon white vinegar
2 teaspoons ground mustard
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon onion salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
8 hot dogs
1 package (12 ounces) hot dog buns, split
Finely chopped red onion
Yellow mustard

Steps:

In a large saucepan, cook and crumble beef over medium heat until no longer pink, 8-10 minutes; drain. Add next 10 ingredients; simmer until thickened, about 45 minutes, stirring frequently., Cook hot dogs according to package directions. Place in buns and top with chili, red onion and yellow mustard.

1 pound ground beef
1 garlic clove, minced
1 cup tomato juice
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
8 hot dogs
8 hot dog buns, split
Chopped onion and shredded cheddar cheese, optional

Steps:

In a large skillet, cook beef and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomato juice, tomato paste, chili powder, pepper sauce, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Keep hot until serving., Grill or broil hot dogs until heated through. Place on buns; top with chili. Sprinkle with onion and cheese if desired.
