1 pound lean ground beef (or extra-lean ground beef)
1/2 pound bulk Italian sausage (or remove from casings)
1/3 cup fine dry bread crumbs
3 medium cloves garlic (finely minced)
1 scant teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried leaf basil
1 medium onion (finely chopped)
1 large egg ( slightly beaten )
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
2 tablespoons water (or as needed)

Steps:

  • Serve over pasta, in a sub roll, or by itself and enjoy!

Italian Sausage Meatballs image

These Easy Italian Sausage Meatballs are juicy and so flavorful! This is a great recipe for serving a crowd! Simply roll, bake, and serve with your favorite sauce! These homemade meatballs are delicious on rolls, salads, or toss with pasta for classic spaghetti and meatballs!

2 pounds ground sausage
2 large eggs
1 and 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup lukewarm water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees (F). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large bowl combine ground sausage, eggs, breadcrumbs, cheese, and garlic. Slowly add the water, a few tablespoons at a time, mixing with your hands until everything is just combined. Don't over mix here or it'll make the meatballs tough. The mixture should be very moist but still hold its shape when rolled into meatballs.
  • Using an ice cream scoop or large spoon, scoop about one tablespoon of meat into your palms and roll it into a ball. Place the ball on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with all of the meat.
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven to bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until they're cooked though.
  • Toss with your favorite sauce and serve!

1 lb sweet Italian sausage, removed from casing
1 egg
1 small onion, diced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup fine Italian style breadcrumbs

Steps:

  • In a large bowl combine ground beef with italian sausage and mix well. Add beaten egg, onion, salt, pepper and seasoned bread crumbs. Mix together and shape into meatballs - about 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" round.
  • Place in a lightly greased 9" x 13" baking pan or casserole dish; Bake, uncovered, at 375º for 30 to 35 minutes. Drain off fat before serving.

⅓ cup dry bread crumbs
¼ cup KRAFT 100% Grated Parmesan Cheese
¼ cup milk
¼ cup finely chopped onion
1 (19 ounce) package Johnsonville® Ground Mild Italian Sausage or Links, casings removed*

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a large bowl, combine the egg, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk and onion.
  • Remove sausage from casings. Add sausage to the bread crumb mixture and mix well. Shape into 20 meatballs. Arrange meatballs on a shallow baking pan.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through (160 degrees F). Serve with your favorite sauce and spaghetti.

  • Grate the onion and garlic into a medium size bowl; then add the panko breadcrumbs and stir to combine. Set aside.
