Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Stuff each date with a nut.
  • Wrap each with bacon, securing with a toothpick.
  • Place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake until bacon is crisp, 20-30 minutes.
  • Transfer to paper towels to drain.
  • Let cool briefly; serve warm.

1 (8 oz) box pitted dates
30 pecan halves
10 to 12 slices bacon

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 °F. Stuff each date with a pecan half. Cut each slice of bacon into 3 pieces. Wrap 1 piece around each stuffed date and secure with a toothpick. Bake until bacon is crisp, 12 to 15 minutes. Drain and serve.

This is a very easy but good recipe. People will think you are a gourmet chef with these dates filled with chevre cheese and pecans!

20 pitted dates
¼ cup goat cheese
20 pecan halves
10 slices bacon, cut in half
½ cup balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon white sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Slice open the dates, and stuff each with about 1/2 teaspoon goat cheese. Top each date with a pecan, using the goat cheese to hold the pecans in place. Wrap each date with 1/2 slice bacon.
  • Arrange the wrapped dates on a baking sheet. Bake 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until the bacon is crisp and evenly brown.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, mix the balsamic vinegar and sugar until thickened. Pour over the dates to serve.

1 (10 ounce) package pitted dates
1/2 lb bacon, sliced into quarters

Steps:

  • Microwave bacon for about 2 minutes, until partially cooked, but not browned.
  • Wrap each date with a strip of bacon and secure with a wooden toothpick.
  • Broil on low 3 minutes, turn dates, and continue broiling 3 to 4 minutes longer, or until browned.
  • Drain on paper towel and serve warm.
